You absolutely cannot play anywhere apart from the private rooms and the staff are desperately trying to keep public areas respectable so they don't lose their licence.

No playing in spa area only in lockable rooms, which I find very uncomfortable and hot inside them. I wouldn’t use this place for playing but it’s nice to go for some relaxing time.

Definitely no playing other than in the private rooms. We can vouch for this, Lucy was giving oral to a guy in the steam room.The staff shouted at us to stop or we would have to leave.With the private rooms if its hot weather outside, then they are unbearable. They really need to put some fans/air con in these rooms.

Am thinking of going on a saturday. What is the best time to go? Don't want it to be totally dead when we arrive yet wondered if it will get too busy and there be no room anywhere. Does it ever get that busy? We realise it is couple's night so ideally would like to mingle. When is peak traffic at Rios? Any couples thinking of going this weekend?

I'd suggest aiming to arrive there on Saturday around 7-7.30pm for couples only evening. Note that single guys are allowed back in at midnight.

It can always vary, of course, but Rios tends to be a bit busier in winter than summer; so at this time of the year you shouldn't need to worry about it being packed.

Ah thanks for the reply. I read elsewhere that around half a dozen couples is the ball park figure to expect at these times. Would they be right? Might have to try and tempt some fabbers to join us

I agree about the rooms. Incredibly they often have the radiators on, even when it's warm outside. I've never understood the waste of energy!

As far as playing and where it's tolerated goes, on couples only night (Sat evening), you can play in the Jacuzzi's as long as most of the action is kept under water. I've been to plenty of couples nights where lots of couples are fairly blatantly having sex under the water and no staff member says anything.

Outside of couples night, any playing is strictly for the rooms.

You're welcome. Unless it's a particularly dead night, there should be way more than just six couples. I'd say at least double that on a normal night and even that's a bit quiet.

Just remember this is one club of many. If you prefer more of a night club atmosphere rather than a spa there are many better options.

Yeah I think we might get overwhelmed in a nightclub vibe. The female half doesn't really go clubbing so that in itself represents a new experience. We are planning on visiting Eurekas in 3 weeks' time but Rio's might offer a good stepping stone towards that visit. In a club it isn't always easy to approach strangers or engage in conversation over loud music so I think a spa is a good compromise and allows us to relax and not feel left out or pressured to have to get into the mix.

Eurekas is a far better place to visit with its lovely pool during the daytime. Obviously it’s not convenient for a lot of people. Trouble with Rios is that the playrooms are horrible.

We've never been to Rio's and only been to Eureka's once but can vouch for it being a fun friendly place. You also have pleasures just outside Maidstone which is our normal haunt which is a good friendly club but most definitely not like a night club

Thanks for the replies guys. So the forum is where all the friendly people lurk! I may/probably will return here more often. We are probably going to rios tomorrow and eurekas at end of june. If anyone is planning on going to either when we do give us a shout, we'd like to say hi!

Hi. The only strictly naturist periods are 6pm to midnight - Mon, Tues and Wed. So no problem on Saturday if you don't want to be naked.

As far as couples nights go, some do cover up, some don't. On balance probably more don't cover up, but then you don't have the issue of creepy, staring, wanking single guys perving at you and following you all the time; which tends to be an issue there outside couples night.

Rios is BYOB. It is a bit mixed in terms of what it is you want from the place. I agree with Twice as Nice that the restrooms are pretty ordinary (and get very hot!), but I'd say the spa facilities are quite good. Granted there's no heated swimming pool (the pool there is cold, but that's quite handy when you've just come out of the sauna/steam room), but the Jacuzzi's, saunas and steam rooms are pretty good. They do put a lot of chlorine in the Jacuzzi's there....which is good and bad

Oh sorry, I didn't realise you were talking percentages. I thought you meant actual numbers of couples. If anything, on a Saturday night there should be at the very least 12-15 couples and of course being couples only night, the percentage of couple is is 100

Some kind of fan or air con is certainly required.
