I checked the OP profile. There is more information on there explaining what happens in each two hour session, but no mention of price for single guy. If you are interested in going I would read the profile and contacted them with all the information they request.

Do people just not understand the economics of running events? Clearly if you don’t want to go then noone forces you. If you think you could do it cheaper, then why not set up your own events...

So it’s free for couples and single ladies but £60 for single blokes ?

That’s not about economics, it’s about single blokes subsidising everyone else

Whilst I don't agree that some get a free pass, I actually everyone should pay something, sliding scale obviously, at the end of the day, no one's putting a gun to your head and forcing you to go.....

I agree with covering costs and if it’s a business then yes needs to make a profit.

But as it says couples and single ladies are free but single males have to pay then if no single males attended then who’s going to cover the costs ?

I'm pretty sure the organisers have considered that.

It must be working for them or they wouldn't be doing it every week, yes?

Is it painful, they way they're twisting your arm and forcing you to go?

Are you anxious that the gun against your head may have the safety off?

...clearly if that was the case they would change their prices. Why is it people have to moan so much? These events may or may not be of interest, fair enough but if people want something at a different price point then why not run an event of their own?

Because the level of unfairness is outrageous! Why should single guy's be expected to cover all the costs! I guarantee you if the costs were being carried by couples or single females there would be uproar. I have hosted my own event's, no profit was made just covered costs. I charged per head and the only complaints I received were from couples. The event was great value once you broke down what you were getting for your money as it was an all inclusive gig of accommodation, dinner and drinks so everything was paid for in advance and you knew exactly what the night was costing you and the cost was divided equally and everyone got exactly the same.

I agree, everyone should make a financial contribution, although I understand why clubs have a sliding scale.

The cost differential here is exacerbated by it being a two hour event. £60 for 2 hours seems high when you could attend a whole evening there as a single guy for £40. I appreciate the event themes are different though.

I'm a regular at Angels by the way, they aren't the organisers for these events, merely the venue.
