So here we are, off to our first club event, both are scared/nervous/excited. Any tips for a) getting involved with other couples b) not getting involved with couples we're not interested in x

Relax, chat and be social but if you're not into someone, when you're ready to move on I tend to just say anyway I'm off for a walk round, enjoy your evening.

Have a great time!

I read your status update

Your so lucky to have each other to lean on when going the first time, that will help greatly with the nerves.

You could decide before going that your not planning to get involved but just to stick with each other the first time......

That'll likely go out the window once you relax but at least if you have that in your head arriving it'll help calm you.

Best of luck with it, enjoy it for what it is and let us know how it went

Maybe have a secret sign or word you can use so your partner knows if you don't like the couple you're talking to.

Have fun.

We've been working on that to make it easier if we're out of talking range x

Thanks x

Just go with the open minded attitude that it's a night out, try to relax, don't put yourselves in a corner, smile and try having eye contact and say hello to anyone who takes your fancy. There is no pressure to play if you don't want to. You have each other for moral support and to encourage each other to be sociable with people. One way to end a conversation with people you aren't interested in (that I just read the other day and liked it),is just to say you're off for a drink or a wander and that you hope they have a fun night, most people at that should get the jist that you aren't interested. Most of all enjoy yourselves. Good luck

When I was in a couple and we went to a club for the first time, we just decided to play between ourselves....in the locked room at first, then moved onto an open room so people could watch.

As for accepting or declining...we chatted with many couples and when we politely declined, going upstairs saying it was our first time and we were just playing between ourselves this time, they all understood and carried on chatting...it’s perfectly fine. Everyone has been in your position and understands...

Enjoy
