I shower and wear clean clothes just to work on the house or garden

Full valet if I'm going to a club and clean ironed clothes . Aftershave etc

Crocs - you know what the holes are for? To allow every last drop of dignity to ooze from the body of the wearer.

That said, my son has a pair, size 10 so same as me, left by the door and I too put them on to pick up dog poo. Strange hobby I know!

Just choose your club carefully. I am willing to give most clubs a chance, and the majority of clubs don't have a problem with poorly dressed or unhygienic people. I have been to 2 clubs where I felt uncomfortable, because of the other members, and I won't be going to those clubs again.

I have been to many clubs and suspect I know the one that the OP means. Only time I went there on a Saturday night I got the impression that quite a few men had dressed in a way that wouldn't arouse their wife's suspicions rather than in a way suitable for a club
