Pandoras break in

Heard that pandoras has been broken in to last weekend. Management will not confirm or deny. There is a rumour that it was an inside job. My lady friend tells me that laptops with members details and personal information stolen and tvs as well as cash. Anybody else heard anything.

We can confirm that we were broken into. However no personal details are stored on the stolen laptops. They contain only porn and music. All our members information is stored on a secure server not housed inside the club. Peter and Sheilla

No one has a clue what someone can do with a stolen laptop, even if there isn't any client details, still there will be some kind of juicy info which can be used to obtain more sensitive details. ...

Problem here is what kind of protection they had to stop prevent this? Was it reported to police, can they prove this wasn't inside job? If it was reported, then I am sure police will take into control and the club may be closed for few days until they get all the evidence.

So, no need to scream at the OP, if the club was that responsible they should have posted here before someone else had.

You do not appear to accept the post from Pandora, that the laptop purely had music and open on.

If the laptop is not linked to the server where the "sensitive" information is held, then that information cannot be accessed.

Neither I, nor you, have any reason to doubt what the club is saying, you are simply assisting the OP in scare mongering.

So Nita, you saying take people's word and don't question? Can you prove the data is safe? You have no idea what someone can retriev from a laptop, you will be surprised..

Anyway I don't care, I am not a member of any club and not intended to get one, but if I was a member I got all rights to ask the question and to prove me that the MY data is secure..
