"Clubs are allowed to sell poppers and they are allowed to be used on the premises. They are not illegal, although the government did try to make them illegal a couple of years ago" Appreciate reply....

"Whilst poppers are permitted and even sold in gay saunas what is the story in ordinary clubs.. Why on earth do you need them to have a good time?! " Most people who use poppers don't need to use them to have a good time. It's a thing in their play bag to enhance their play experience, if the mood takes them. It's like using tingling lube as an enhancement. It's just something that you can use if you fancy it. I have amazing play experiences with and without poppers. I don't need it. I just use it if the mood takes me to change things up a little. Just like using sex toys....why would somebody need a sex toy to enhance their play experience when there's a perfectly good cock on offer? Same thing...it's a choice in a play bag to change things up.

"I use to take them but have stoped taking them as I suffer from asthma and if I take them I have an asthma attack and end up very ill and end up at the doctor's or hospital I have been told it can kill you I was at a gay sauna last year and this bloke was seriously ill because he had taken to muck poppers I have seen some people just keep taking poppers" ok you have been misinformed or the information has been filtered. If poppers alone could kill you or anyone, then they wouldn't be legal. If you take viagra with poppers, then you can faint/collapse. They just don't mix. If you take poppers with certain health conditions, it can have serious implications. However, when the government were looking to ban poppers a couple of years ago as a dangerous substance, they had an independent review undertaken to establish if it was actually harmful and could cause death. It was found that it was safe for healthy adults to enjoy and caution should be taken with people falling into certain categories. The product was not banned after the review and was deemed safe for sale to those over 18 with no restrictions. I think we all just need to be sensible with any product like this. If we have any underlying conditions which affect the heart/blood pressure, lungs or anything neurological, then advice should be sought. For a doctor to say that poppers can kill you is very irresponsible and he needs to go and read his research!

"And for those who say they're not as good as they used to be.. That's because they're now isopropyl nitrate and not amyl nitrate. There's a few key chemical differences but over all they produce the same results. Amyl is no longer legally able to be purchased in the UK except by chemist's I believe. And if you import it from abroad you're breaking a lot of law's relating to the transportation of a controlled substance. " No, amyl nitrite is not illegal. All poppers are classed as alkyl nitrites and as such they are not classed as a psychoactive drug and they were not banned in 2016. Isobutyl nitrite was banned by the EU, not amyl nitrite.
