We were wondering if there would be a high interest in a swingers club to be opened in York? And what kind of rooms would you like to see in a new club? And anything that would or wouldn't like to see?

A club in York would be brilliant, the problem would be with York council agreeing to it. But if they did I’m sure it would be a big success

Yes we are currently looking for a location just on outskirts of York that's private enough but close enough to things maybe looking if property big enough to have a couple of rentable rooms for night stay for long distance travellers. Just need a idea on what kinda rooms to have in it to set it apart and make it a success

More clubs just divided the current market. Opening a new club just divided the small swinging scene as it is. Financially opening a club is not good business scenes.

Great idea the more variety the better and as york is a brilliant destination for a vanilla weekend couples could combine the 2.

A dedicated couples room and a dedicated couples night once a month on a saturday would on our wish list.

Surely a club that's local to more people would give people more choice and variety even we like to visit other clubs. The York scene is massive the socials alone have over 100+ attendees there is nothing in this area at all the local ones are Leeds and now hull I wouldn't see it as competition but as a local convenience as a buisness sense we have a very details business plan it just like saying why open a pub or night club as there's lots of them already.

Just look at successful clubs like Cupids, Townhouse etc.

It's not really the "rooms" as such that make the club, it's the people who go there and the owners / managers of the club.

You could have rooms resembling the Winter Palace or the penthouse from Trump Towers, but if the club has no atmosphere then it will fail.

You could open a club with just a few playrooms but if you have a regular clientele of fun, social people coupled with a fun, socialible management then you'll do well.

Would this place that your looking at have facilities for people to bring Motorhomes / Caravans etc ? That would be a big bonus for a lot of people, especially in York where hotel prices tend to be high.

Especially in the north east area where we are lacking clubs, it’s a different story in the north west where clubs are in abundance. I’m sure people from York and surrounding areas would be very supportive of your venture. Check out Pandora’s for some ideas regarding different types of rooms, what’s good for some might not be for others.

Good luck with your venture OP and keep us all posted

We would ensure there is enough space for a few motor homes and caravans in car park the property we are looking at has a huge carpark
