Has anyone been to abfabs and could give us some feedback as we are thinking of attending ? Also anyone know why there’s no reviews on the club review page or are we just missing it ?

Kestrel Hydro/Abfabs are open 7 days a week and have a different feel according to whuch day or night you are going. Saturday nights are couples only.

It’s a great place with lots of facilities.

I think there was a falling out between Fab and AbFabs which is why there are no reviews on here about it as a club.

I’m sure those that have been on Fab longer than us no the reason, but I’m sure I read that somewhere on here before.

We’ve only been once, and that was on a Friday night which is couple and single guys night. It was fun and we met a couple there that we’d been chatting to before we went, so it was nice having some friendly faces when we arrived, certainly took the edge off.

We found on the Friday that if you’re open active there, you do get. Gaggle of guys following and surrounding you everywhere you go, that might be your thing, but at times we found it a bit much. Most of the guys were respectful of giving us space and only joining when invited, but a few did get aggu when they were told they could only watch and not not touch.

Our Friday experience ha meant we’ve not been back, but have talked about going on a Saturday, couples and single women night, to see what the dynamic is like then, will have to let you know.

In terms of the venue, it’s massive! There’s a pool, jacuzzi’s, a sauna I think, private cabins, a dungeon, glory holes, viewing rooms, and a sinema. So lots and lots of options for play.

It’s a lot cheaper to join than LB, but it’s also a very different setup, either way, it’s a fun place, but maybe avoid Friday night if you’re concerned about a large group of guys following you like the pied piper

We went a few Fridays ago and have to say there were a lot of couples there so was very balanced. We didn’t get loads of men following us around either. We had lots of fun too. Great club on of the best around.

I think they have changed Thursday’s to a gay guy night. They used to do a deep clean apparently on Thursdays after 6pm. We last went on a Friday back in the summer and sadly it didn’t smell very clean, not sure whether it is down to being open 7 days with no deep clean!

We found Tuesday evening was best for us. It was really quiet, hardly any single guys. We got left alone to use the facilities as if it was our very own private place. We always tried to arrange our meets on a Tuesday in there for that reason. So we got left alone to meet and play.

We first went on a Wednesday before knowing about fab. We met lots of nice people who offered advice. We only entertained ourselves that night. We were advised to give Friday a miss because of the amount of single guys that were there who followed couples (some refusing to accept no for an answer). Due to limited opportunities we had no alternative to go a couple of times on a Friday and didn’t experience any hassle from single guys. They tried following but we said no and they listened. We have once had an issue with a couple of travelers in their but the staff nicely dealt with that and it didn’t spoil our experience. The staff there were great. We were also advised to make arrangements to meet people there if we wanted to get the best chance of playing. Especially with people you have an interest/attraction in.

With Saturday’s being couples and females only you pay a higher price for the privilege of no single guys. I think some couples are content with going on Fridays. As mentioned in another post we haven’t had issues on a Friday. You just have to be perhaps a little stern/firm if you are hassled. I think a 1000 yard stare helps haha!

The fallout between abfabs and fab was over the name. People used to think the site was owned by the place apparently. The argument was about who was named who first. Abfabs put a notice around the place informing guests of the reason. They have also launched their own website now too.

To offer some humble advice:

1. Go on a quiet night to check it out first with no expectations to meet or play. Use the facilities and enjoy your own company. Tuesday was/is really quiet.

2. Arrange to meet someone there or go with someone. You’re more likely to get to play.

3. Maybe avoid a Friday just in case it was overrun with single guys (unless you’re in to that, we’re not).

4. BYOB but soft drinks, tea and coffee are free. Soft drinks after 6pm/when the main house is open.

5. No means no, don’t be afraid to use it and report to staff if they get intimidating rather than get in a fight and spoil your night! (Your missus won’t want to see two guys wrestling naked, it’s just wrong on more than one level!)

6. Have fun but no expectations of playing or you will come away from there disappointed.

One of the first clubs I went to. Can confirm Abfabs is amongst the best in the UK.

Friendly, welcoming staff and the facilities are fabulous.

We found that Saturdays were very cliques, so if you are a little nervous, shy or not that relaxed to openly engage with others, then we advise arranging to meet or go there with someone. We know a lot of staff and people that go there, but we have seen couples just s_and around at the fringes looking awkward and not get chatting. They’d have more chance pulling in a bar, if you know what I mean.

Just one maybe two more things to add:

Abfabs/kestrels have been going through a legal battle to stay open, for a few years now. Sadly they have lost a few appeals and is looking like they will close or possibly relocate to somewhere new.

To that end the very last time we went (end of summer) it did have a lot of Eastern European and Asian men in there. To us it seemed like because they had lost the legal battle, they were money orientated and just letting anybody in, especially single guys at £50/60 per guy. We arranged to meet someone there and we found it difficult to get a private room and were followed a lot.

We decided that perhaps it was time to find a new club and have since been to LB. more expensive but the night we went it was full of stunning people.

Abfabs has stayed open despite the doom sayers and has every intention of staying open.

If you go on a Saturday then it’s couples only.

Like any club it doesn’t suit everybody and most of us continue to enjoy going.

I was there this evening. The people I spoke to were friendly enough especially the lady in the red dress really fun couple, it was a shame we didn’t have a full play.

Anyway I would say if your a bi male i would appreciate before you touch you ask. I was decent enough to say no

For the nice couple from south Hampton and the lady from yorkshire it was a shame we didn’t speak more

Some people have been spreading false infirmation this week that the pool was shut etc, so may not have been as busy as normal. We know personally of people who said they weren’t going because they had been told the pool was out of action.

No it’s a private members club now so you will need two forms of ID, one having a photo like a driving licence, and you have to join.
