Hey

, I'm new to the swinging scene (but not new to group sex

I've been invited by a cool swinging couple to come to Kestrel's NYE gig and it's £120?!!.

I'd like to know if any of you can tell me it's worth every penny... or is the entrance fee just a reflection of London'd crazy NYE party/club prices?.

I usually go to underground Tech House NYE gigs but everyone's getting quite long in the tooth and there's not as many on anymore unfortunately... obviously they don't cost that much to get in £25 max and they go on from early to 6am leaving everyone totally happy party satisfied with multiple after parties to go on to... if Abfabs isn't as good as what I'm used to I'm going to be disappointed I spent all that money on a maybe.

So if anyone can tell me what I'm letting myself in for I'd be very grateful to you lol x

I swear I posted this in the Swingers Chat section an hour ago?!!... so I have no clue how it's ended up in the club section unless a moderator moved it here?...

Sorry for the double posting, just thought I'd try a more relevant forum to see if anyone can enlighten me x

It's expensive but we feel it's worth it..

We're coming down on the train, then we've to get back to Euston on NY day for a 3 hour journey back up North..

That should convince you?!

P.s. It's BYOB, so that saves money at the bar..

That's a crazy price! Most of the other clubs won't be charging half that. If it was a top club then yes, don't understand why they are charging so much? Vanilla Alternative is only £60 couples, £20 single ladies and includes a fabulous buffet and top DJ's.

I've gotta say I was pretty shocked tbh... paying a lot of dough to get my kit off in front of peeps isn't that appealing tbh lol x

I miss it! lol... did it religiously for 15years+...

I'm also looking in to Ministry of Sound and also Superfreq's on on the 11th Nov, that's always a fun gig to go to and everyone makes an effort on their outfits lol

Yes we've been before, on party nights and NYE 2 years ago...

If you're going for the music, it's not worth it.. It's only a small dancefloor and they play cheese.. We're oldies now so gabba techno isn't really our thing at a swingers club lol x

We went last NYE... it was about £120 for a couple so imagine less for a single lady.

It is similar price-wise to other London NYE events and for that you get a really busy evening with lots of people glammed up and ready to play

My partner and I have shelled out £100 for NYE at Abfabs...but everyone says it is the very best place to celebrate and well worth the money. We are going for the first time as well...so if you decide to go please come and say hello.

... I'm a bit confused as to what to do now... Music's very important to me... I could bring my ipod and give myself a silent disco I guess?!! Lol... Not the most sociable thing to do but it's saved me from leaving gigs early before now lol x

That's their non membership fee apparently... Great way to get people to join up because I agree totally ott price that lol

There is no such thing as a non membership price. Anyone attending is meant to be a member as its a members only venue. To be honest there are better nights out.

I just went by the price on their party website... As I said I'm a newbie to the clubbing scene. I'm looking for a rave replacement thatz just as good but I may be asking a bit too much as Tech House is my tipple (not cheese, or commercial house or anything else that'll make me cry lol)...

So back to square one by the looks of things?!

If music is your thing, would suggest Vanilla Alternative. They have two great DJ's playing on NYE.. a mix of house... Funky, classic etc and a bit of trance thrown in too... Will be a fab night! Music is always great!
