Hi. Can I ask how they police the removal of single guys from Saturday daytime to when it becomes couples only?

Was talking to a girl about going and she is worried that there will be a lot of singles remaining.

Understandable. And I couldn’t tell her because I haven’t been.

I would assume that the staff would notice and the regulars who go there would probably point them out as well.

There's less chance of the male in a couple doing a Benny Hill strut behind a female in a couple only environment. If they did it would be very noticeable...

Well I don't know how it's policed but from our brief experience we can tell you that when we have been there on Saturday evenings we have not noticed single males, it's a busy night with many couples.

I was intrigued by that myself as I quite often go there and my female friend joins me later or leaves when she has to and I stay on my own for a bit.

I asked behind the bar on wednesday and I didn't really get a definitive answer about it then either.

It's been nearly a year since I've been to Rios, so I'm not sure if the same process is still followed, but a friend and I used to go to couples night there fairly regularly for a while.

Essentially some of the staff (typically the tall American guy) starts going around the venue about 6ish asking guys on their own to leave. He used to ask "who are you with?" and get guys to show them which women they were with to allow them to stay. He had/has a fairly keen eye for guys trying to stay on and getting to know who was who and it was reasonably effective to my observation.

I think a few guys tried to get around this by locking themselves in the 'relaxation' rooms, but they usually got found out at some point. It wasn't 100% perfect, but near enough to it.

Yeah your right...staff start asking single men to leave at about 6pm unless they can prove they are with a female. We live down he road and often attend. Just a shame the relaxation rooms are hardly relaxing.

Yes, they were anything but with all the general (non-sexual) noise and door knocking going on. I'm assuming it hasn't changed in the last year?

No, it's exactly the same. Constant knocking on the doors and men following you around. Still it's the same with all spas I would say. Still nice to have a nude spa though

Pity, although not surprised as there's no major reason for it to change unfortunately. When I first started going to Rios back in early 2015, I went as a single guy and was pretty surprised at how bad some of the behaviour was - and that was just observing it rather than being the target of it! Once I started going to couples night on Sat evening, the thought of going there any other time became fairly unattractive pretty quickly.
