Eurekas - Saturday nights?

Jump to newest

Trying to line up something with a female partner (possibly for tonight, but might have to rollover into next week).

Is Eurekas on a Saturday night overbearing with single males? We quite like it being a mixed crowd *but* not if the single male ratio is too high & not if couples are constantly pestered/hassled by single guys in the social areas.

Also, can anyone say if the dancefloor is busy throughout the night. We've been to other swing clubs & the dancefloor might see some light activity earlier on, but come 11.30pm ...it's empty (everyone gone 'playing')...we'd prefer a busy/party atmosphere with less emphasis on the swinging (so I guess we sort of seek a 'party with possible benefits' enviroment!)

Essex.

To be honest, from our experience, Eureka's sounds exactly like the place you are looking for.

As a rule, the single guys aren't pushy, most won't even approach you. Those that do except a polite no thank you and leave you alone.

The dance floor is normally busy and a good place to flirt.

Obviously it comes down to the people on the night and that is something no club has control of.

We would say give it ago because in the end only you can decide what floats your boat...

Hope this helps...

PS. If anyone did pester you, tell the staff, they will deal with it...

Many thanks ...it sounds promising.

It's peculiar that there are no photos of the club itself ....are the social areas of reasonable size? I've read that tables need to be reserved in advance ...but if you don't have a table reserved is that of major impact? (i.e. are you then destined to stand around holding your drinks in a crush somewhere else?!)

Re the play facilities - it just one big playroom...with lots of mattresses in it?

Ok, just found the answer to part of my questions...

" with two jacuzzis,a sauna, steam room, showers, four themed play rooms, a stunningly refurbished couples room and a dance area with seating for 180, you should find plenty to do."

If you haven't booked at table, they will find you room on one.

There is a couples only room, it has a large bed which holds 3 or 4 couples, a large double bed, a couple of sofas.

There are 3 lockable rooms and an open room with a big round bed and padded benches eound the edge...

Have you tried their website for pics?

Thanks for your input ...I found some pictures (oddly I couldn't find a gallery button, but if you put /gallery on the end of their URL there are quite a few pictures)

Re attending tonight...it's going to the wire (I'd love to go but it's down to my partner sorting out childcare )

I see the event times are quoted as 8.00pm to the 3.00am ...at what time does it start filling up & the dance floor start getting used?

Normally gets busy between 10 and 11 but as it's a big party night, I would aim to get there by 9.

It gives you a chance to get settled and have a look round...

Eurekas is a great friendly club, one of the best in the country in my opinion, and super friendly and fun. You can't go far wrong (as long as your satnav finds it!). Enjoy x

Is the entrance of Manor Lane - is the entrance reasonably well marked?

Yes, look for the big metal gates on the left as you go up the hill. There will be staff at the gates on a saturday.

My satnav took me into the private hospital nearby instead!

sounds like the gates they also have eureaka letters on the front of the gates, also the gates are literally on the edge of a golf course so look for tee off area/ green besides the gates

Sounds like a reason to have a Doctors and Nurses party - it would cause chaos!!!
