Attended the Cougars & Cubs at DV8 last night. Where do I start!! The club is not the easiest please to find and I was not the only one saying that on the night. It's far to small compared to other clubs. I was told that they have some nice events on other nights. But Cougars night has put me off.

Cougars night was a complete waste of time. I was asked to either put my phone in the car or the lady at the door offered to put it in her bag. (They don't have any lockers). She asked me if it was my first time, which it was. I was expecting a tour. But once she got my money I did not exist. Another guest saw me in the venue a bit lost and offered to show me around. I was not the only one that was not shown around. About 10pm once the hostess was aware that everyone who was coming had turned up.(Basically I got your money)

They cornered off a big section of the club and you was only allowed in or even look in if you was part of the hostess gang. Regardless even if you was a couple your not part of them your not welcome. once that took place about 10 guest just left. Keep in mind the venue is not that big. Also they said smart dress but they let anyone and everyone in. A few blokes looked like they just come off a building site they could done with a shower.

I would like to add that please keep in mind that this venue hosts other events, which are a lot better so I have been told. But CougarsandCubs event is SHIT !!

It sounds like someone didn't get any action last night.

Cougars and Cubs at DV8 is a great night that attracts a good crowd with last night's event packed out to capacity as well so it was super busy.

You might feel that you had a wasted night but that might be due to your attitude and approach and is not really a true reflection on what has been a very successful and well run event that has been going for a number of years.

Well I am guessing you are maybe a little too old for some of the cougars there?? Assuming, as the Mrs was unable to attend (as stated in your status from yesterday) this is Mr posting?

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Your description of how the night went and what the hostess is like is so wrong. It was a very busy evening and she does her best to meet and greet but obviously on duch a busy night she cant personally show around everyone hence why regulars will notice lost looking newbies and do it instead. I met and spoke to a lot of new people lastnight all of whome were having a good night. Its the least clicky event ive ever been to because the regulars are so friendly and welcoming to new commers. No section was cornered off but if an area is full clearly you cant be there.

Sorry again for your bad experience but i think you may just be pissed because you didnt get any action

I was not looking for any full on action as I only soft play. Everyone I spoke to last night said it does not feel like a swingers club.

I get that but they have a pool & play bit so when you take your clothes off and have your wallet you need to be careful. Just something to think about.

Because CougarsandCubs is not about swinging. It is a place where women can meet younger guys and other likeminded people. Its a very social affair with a little added kink. All play areas were full so how it doesnt have that vibe of swinging i dont know

I wasn't there last night so can't comment on how last night went but have been to a few cougars and cubs nights at DV8 and lots when it was held at Radletts.

It's sounds like it was a super busy event but Karen is a super friendly host as are all the ladies who go. The guys are respectful and great fun. As a couple we have always felt incredibly welcomed. It has more of a party vibe than a swingers club but that's what makes it such a fun event. We love nothing more than dancing the night away with the ladies and guys and it always gets funky on the dance floor.

It's as much about partying as playing..

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience not every night suits everyone.

Main issue was when half of the club was closed off and only open to the hostess friends.

Well I said my bit. And spoken to one of the ladies in a private chat who is part of the staff. She took my feed back on board and understands. So I wish them the best as they are trying.

We attended last night for the first time.

Was greeted by a very friendly lady, she was aware it was our first time and made sure someone came to show us around.

The lady who gave us the tour again was very friendly,

The phone thing is standard in clubs,

While we agree it didn't have a swinging club feel to the place, we didn't stay too long so can't really judge on the small time we was there.

Most people was friendly. The night could have been better but again as we wasn't there long we can't really judge until we have spent the evening there.

I think it's important to always to talk to the hosts. Even on the night as they will always take your comments on board and do their best to give everyone a great experience.

I find this review very strange

I would like to comment that Cougarsandcubs is a lifestyle not swinging event.

we do not allow mobile phones into the premises and also everyone that attends are advised and asked to sign in agreement at check in that valuables are best left in cars and not brought in to event..

dv8 is also not swinging club.

One area was closed due to a leak in roof and those beds were relocated .

All play areas of Dv8 are open. We have many regulars

A group of 10 people wanted to play half of whom come every month and hence that filled the down stairs play area. A partition was placed in front of door due to a handful of guys trying to join in uninvited and room being at full capacity .. there were 4 other play areas upstairs

Sadly this handful of guys that had also attended other events at a different club and had some expectant attitude because promised elsewhere and were shocked this is not how we roll at tge original C#C nor do we endorse or promote it ( all very clear in profile ) .

contacting staff on here .I have had no messages nor has anyone spoke to me directly.

Apologises this night wasn't for you. I hope there's no alternative agenda here. As you came as a single guy that is a regular elsewhere

Hi, we attended DV8 last night and have to say it was the busiest that we have ever seen and we attend regularly!! We nearly couldn't even park in the car park!! It's a shame that you didn't enjoy yourself, but we have attended lots of clubs and must admit the phone is a very common request. It's their for everyone's privacy. To be honest we have always found it to be a great atmosphere and very friendly and full of sexy people that have a great attitude. We did play last night, but I wouldn't say it was cornered off for special guests. At one point we were bombarded with spectators, and as a couple appreciate that some people do want to join in, but as always it's the woman's choice to invite you to play. I'm sure as you are a couple yourselves you would appreciate that you don't want to play with everyone. Karen gives up a lot of her time and puts so much effort into running these nights, she is so thoughtful too. Our best suggestion is to get their early, socialise, make connections and go with an open mind!! Karen is incredibly approachable (and understandably was so busy last night) but you would be made to feel very welcome again I'm sure. Hope that it hasn't put you off, and maybe give it a go again. Every night is different as you never know who will attend, but we can honestly say that we have never known anyone that hasn't been made to feel welcomed, we have made some wonderful friends there and hope that you do too!! Xxxx

I was the lady on the door last night, and when registering each guest on their arrival I asked them to read the signs regarding mobile phones (which is standard at most, if not all clubs), and also the notice regarding bringing valuables into the club with you. I did not place mobiles into my bag, I gave each guest a raffle ticket and placed the corresponding ticket number into a sealed bag with their phone, which was then placed into a bag specifically for guests to leave their phones in. At the end of the night guests produce their tickets and collect their phones. The alternative is to leave mobiles in the car, there are parking attendants operating throughout the evening.

I am not having a dig about the phone. I understand that every club has rules. It's about closing a big section off.

Also understand that it's not a easy task to set these things up. I wish you all the best.

Well I went along last night and yes it was busy but I had fun and chatted to people. I don't agree with the heading it was rubbish, I have been to clubs where they are just interested in your money and this event wasn't like that. I know one mans fun with a couple was spoilt by hoards of men crowding around watching. So maybe that was why it was sectioned off.

This area was not closed off . merely a partition divider was placed in front of doorway and the couple of guys by the ENTRANCE yourself included were told not to enter in unless invited.. simular ti the white line rules at other clubs . You were still able to watch..just not join uninvited..

10 people playing in that area was plenty enough ..

Please remember the event is cougarsand cubs hence about Cougars that hunt for cubs and choose who they play wirh if they Wish to . It is not a Greedy girl or gangbang event free for all as the notes on the doorways clearly stated. I would have partitioned this off for any large group.

As event organiser I provided FREE membership,condoms, wipes towels, cocktails, squash, food and live entertainment then 30 minutes of games on the mike plus all the beds bedding lights decor music ice cups etc etc.

With the event at full capacity and turning people away from a venue you have stated as tiny, If I missed you in the meet and greet tours I apologise.. Was hardly a grab your money and run scenario and it is all very clear in the profile to all that read it the nature of this night and what.expect.

weve only been on regular sat nites partys,we like the building and setting love ye olde type barns oak beams ect, love the playrooms overlooking the dancefloor, nice cosy place to relax and socialise, for any that don't know they are northdowns sun club an adult only campsite during the summer mths
