Hi all, sorry if this is a silly question but you dont know if you dont ask!

My partner and I want to start going to club nights and were wondering if you can go along just to see what they are like. Im not imagining thats theres any pressure to do things at all but are there like 'social' areas as such. And would you be looked down on just going to watch/socialise and not take part?

It's not a silly question at all.. you don't know until you've been.

I've been to 3 different clubs and each one has a bar area where people socialise before/or if they then move on to play. Not everyone plays and there is no pressure whatsoever for you to do so.

If you check out any clubs local to you that you might want to go to.. first google it.. and they normally have pictures of what the club is like and you can usually see the bar area on those.

Some of the clubs people stay in the bar all evening as no one has taken their fancy.. others just go a wonder round and take a look at who is doing what..

If you do decide to play, but want it in a closed room where no one can watch, most clubs have a room or two dedicated to that also.. or if you both wanted to play with just each other and be watched but no one else able to join in.. The choices and options are more or less what you want them to be.. At the end of the day if someone does approach you who you don't want to play with, remember no means no and all clubs have that same rule.

Good luck and I hope you pluck up courage to go.. they are a lot of fun and i've met some great friends through the clubs, plus of course you're in a safe environment as opposed to going off meeting total strangers, at least in a club you have chance to socialise a little first

There is no pressure from anyone else upon you to ever have sex of any form with others at clubs. All those I've been to have social spaces, typically away from where people have fun. Think of places like bars or cafes.

Some places have non-member days too, so there's less commitment.

Staff will help and explain key rules. Wander around at will, after they show you where everywhere is. Touching without permission is off limits from others.

I think it's a good idea to go for a chill and not to expect to have action. Chat with others and relax.

Exactly as Sophie and princess said!

Most clubs have a bar area where you can just hang out and chat. Some will have a dress down policy where you may have to change into underware at a certain point.

Check out the local clubs and see if any take your fancy. Most clubs will have a website that outlines their facilities and club rules.

Most important is to just go at your own pace. Let the club know that you're new and they'll show you around and answer any questions you may have. Good clubs will also check in on you during your visit to see if you're comfortable

Just have a look and go with the flow and under no circumstances stalk a woman or couple, only when your invited to play then go over. Most couples look around the club etc and pick who they wish to talk and play with. Getting chatting at the bar and make friends that way.

Maybe go with another couple to show you the ropes and good luck xx
