"Have you considered Quest in Leeds? Sally" No we hadn't. It's a little further than we planned to travel for our first time, but we'll certainly have a look at it. It's only a little further than some that we had considered so if we like the look of it there's no reason we couldn't give it a whirl. Have you visited any of the ones we listed? If so, how does it compare to them?

"From your list I have been to Townhouse and Cupids. Both really great clubs. However I think Quest is better for a first visit as it is all on one level so easy to find your way around and very clean and modern. Cupids is dress down on arrival which might be a bit challenging for a first visit. Quest has single sex changing rooms which Cupids and Townhouse don't. Whichever club you choose I hope you have a great night. Sally" Thanks again for your reply. Think Cupid's may be a bit much for our first time if it is dress down on arrival. There do seem to be a lot of people on here that think it's a great place though, so we'll just have to save that for another night when we are a little more experienced. We'll have to have a proper look at quest, it sounds like it could be a good fit. Thanks

"Hey, Ive attended the clubs mentioned so far on this thread. I could tell you as a customer, the pros and cons I've found with each. Instead, I'm just going to invite you to Townhouse. I'm the host of the Newbies & Notsos parties at Townhouse which are a Wednesday or every third Saturday of the month. Upon arrival, we give you an in depth tour of the club and explain the etiquette and how our club works. This also gives you a chance to ask us any questions. We have no filters and nothing embarrasses us and you can ask us absolutely anything about the swinging scene! We then either have an organised social with all the newbies in the lounge and bring the regulars in to meet them, or introduce small groups to each other. Whichever suits the dynamic of that particular night. Our regulars are very used to be introduced to newbies and will happily chat, answer questions and also some volunteer to be 'club buddies' and wear a lanyard so people can identify them if they need someone to buddy up with rather than standing alone. We hate people standing alone at Townhouse! You'd be welcome at any event though, you're not limited to a newbie night just because you're new. Many of our events are focused on the social side of swinging with attract a lot of first timers. Townhouse isn't an immediate dress down club. You can stay fully dressed all evening on our ground floor. It has a 'wine bar' kind of vibe downstairs (although we have more gins than wines so maybe a 'gin bar') and some people come to just socialise. After 1030pm if you go into the playrooms, then you are asked to dress down. There is never any pressure to play and we have private rooms with locks if you want privacy. On a Saturday, we have a limit of how many men are allowed into the club. We cap it at 8 single males who are established members of our club. So our Saturdays are brilliant for couples that enjoy the company of other couples and single ladies and are not overwhelmed by a club full of single guys. Wednesday we don't cap males but they have to either be a member, or be booked on our new single guy membership induction. Agewise. We get a really good mix of ages, especially on Wednesdays & Saturdays. I'm sure other clubs say the same but we had a recent under 39s party that was full to the rafters of gorgeous sexy folk in their 20s & 30s and most of them attend other party nights. There is tonnes of info on our website with photos of Townhouse too. If you have any question, then you are welcome to drop us a message. With there being so many clubs in the northwest to choose from, I'm sure you'll find one suited to yourselves. Sorry for the big long post but we are rather passionate about newcomers to the club hence running dedicated nights for them. J&L x" Thanks for such an in depth reply. Really covered everything we'd need to know, and then some more. It's exactly the type of reply that we was hoping for. Now if the rest of the club's could pop in and leave a reply like that we'd be sorted, and probably applied for choice.

"I am going to cupids in a few weeks time. It will be my first time at a club and I am going on my own. Asked a similar question in the forums and cupids seemed a popular choice. Hope your visit goes well. I'm excited about mine already x x " Thanks for the reply. Please let us know how it goes when you do finally visit. We'd love to hear how it goes. Cupid's does seem to have a very loyal and vocal following. We're probably gonna wait until we have a little more experience before visiting though, it might be a bit overwhelming for our first experience. It's definitely on our agenda though, and we'll hopefully get round to it sooner rather than later.

"Hi guys, We need your help! After being on here for a few weeks now, we've finally made the decision that our first experience is going to be visiting a club. We want to know which club (in your personal opinion) would be the best one to visit for a couple of first timers looking to be eased into the whole experience gently. It will most likely be a Saturday night as they are the easiest for us find some free time, and all being well it'll be sometime in September. We're looking for somewhere that has friendly staff and kind regulars who will make us feel comfortable. We'd also prefer to find a club that has people of a similar age to us. We don't mind being around older or younger people as well, but we'd feel more comfortable if there are at least some people around our ages (20s and 30s). Not only will this be our first ever experience of a swinging club, but it'll also be our first exposure to the lifestyle itself. For that reason, a relaxed setting where there is no pressure is paramount. We may or may not want to participate on our first visit, we don't know how it will all go down until the time comes. So having somewhere that will be welcoming and understanding is very important to us. We've narrowed down a short list of clubs we think we'd like to visit, but we're still open to suggestions too. The shortlist (so far) Infusions - Blackpool Cupids - Manchester The No3 Club - Chorley Townhouse - Liverpool Decadance - Rochdale We've read mostly positive reviews about all the above, so we're looking for your insights as to what separates them. Which is your preference and why? We'd be interested in visiting them all at some point, so we're not necessarily looking for your personal favourite as it would be nice to work through them all. We're just looking for the one that would be the most welcoming for first timers, whilst meeting the points we mentioned above. Thanks" Cupids look forward to welcoming you in the future once you have found your feet. Have a great time wherever you decide to go for your first experience of clubbing. Cupids "where the customer comes first" !
