Blocked by a club

We had a chat with a club profile on here, they were being really strange and cagey with us, I've asked a little bit about the club and they didn't really give much info other than the address then blocked us. Does anyone else find this a bit strange ?

No, they have a profile for the club, doesn't mean they want to keep chatting with you.

Did you ask questions that are answered on the club's website? If so that might be the problem.

The club are out if order for blocking you tho if you only asked questions doesn't sound like a friendly club that knows how to do things

I agree with you to be honest. People need reassurance!

I got a tirade of abuse when i asked a club about opening hours once by email. Couldn't believe it, I'm a regular club goer but I'm not giving them my money

Surely it's in the clubs best interest to answer questions regarding the venue and it's events? Not only is it rude and childish to behave in such a way, but it's also unprofessional.

I would take your hard earned money elsewhere.

Funnily enough, it has come to light that not only have we been blocked by a local club, but also all the people who run parties from our venue and list their events in the forums have been blocked. Some, including us, have never stepped foot in the said club. VERY strange behaviour and those who we have shared this strange behaviour with are equally baffled and will be staying away!

I think some people forget they are running a business which needs exemplary customer service, so the club you have had this experience with, either don't want your custom or have lost their way....they certainly don't deserve your custom

Thankfully you have lots of other clubs to choose from!

as with most things.... i think you need to be very wary that there are two sides to every story....

especially with the amount of newspaper stories around i can fully understand if owners of clubs direct people wanting to go or find out information about a club to the website....

yes i can see why people would want reassurance... but if it is question after question i can see how suspicions could be raised especially if they are like i said, answered on the clubs website....

See I agree with townhouse, people need reassurance. It doesnt matter if you ask 20 questions. People need to feel relaxed in a club.

As a host of parties at a club,we are representing that club,so what we say to people in messages,we do have to have the patients of a saint,be approachable, helpful etc

We sound like parrots half the time,as all information is on our profile and on the club website

Most clubs and party organisers know we have to try our best to answer questions,as that person is a potential new guest

So I don't know why they done it,however there are many other clubs that would be happy to answer your questions

we have had this, one club new owners, who we haven't messaged at all, has blocked us on their couples profile but not on her single fem club profile. And another club who we've also not messaged or been to, a profile who advertises events has blocked us!

"If you asked about prices etc it wouls be against fabs rules so they may not wish to risk thier account"

I don't think that asking the entry price of a club is against rules, it is a question regularly asked and answered in the forums.

Not sure about the prices thing. I mean we have a Party Profile and a couple of our pics include details of prices on them in big letters and they were approved no problem.

Think we would turn up or telephone and ask them why you have been blocked.. should be an interesting chat could be a genuine mistake..

As to blocking in general people use it for all sorts of unknown reasons the biggest one is not wanting to meet which for a club is very strange...

Can I just say I go to a variety of clubs though I have my usual club (which happens to be amours)

However I openly discuss that I go to cupids and sometimes abfabs

People should not be afraid in asking questions about a club as each club is different and has different rules. Example cupids is dress down but amours is dress down from about 10/10.30

Yes sometimes this information can be got from a website but it is easier to message the fan club profile and ask especially if a newby

We are hosts and we have been blocked by other clubs before for no reason but that's their issue not ours

I spend hours upon hours answering the same questions about dates and times and prices that's already in the profile and answering questions about other events at the same club but see it really as part of being a host

It is tedious but being friendly is what it's about and you get what you put in that's why we are both considered to host a good night and be friendly and approachable

Customer satisfaction all the way !!
