1st club visit. Quest or La Chambre

Hi guys.

We are a m/bi-f couple who don't play regularly, but have experience with couples and single bi-fems, and an all girl orgy. We're wanting to try a club for the first time in the next few weeks, and can't decide between La Chambre in Sheffield (risk of bumping into a couple of non-fab friends who make no secret of the fact that they go, but don't know that we swing) or Quest in Leeds. Obviously it depends on who actually turns up on any given night, but just wondered what other people's thoughts are on which one to choose as a first club visit. Any particular days/sessions better/worse than others? Any other thoughts or tips? All "sensible" advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

T&T x

Quest is the only club we've been to so far but it's a great place for your first time, such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, our first time nerves soon faded and we had an amazing night and have done every night since.

Leeds

Decide if you want to go when it's really busy (Fri and Sat) or an evening when it's quieter. Also decide if you want couples only or a mixed night with single men. Quest is indeed a really friendly club and the owners will give you a guided tour and explain the club rules. There are two lockable private rooms if you don't want to play in public the first time. Hope you have a great time.

Sheffield

We've been to both, and they are both great, but very different. LC is not a dress down club, whereas Quest is dress down outside of the bar area. LC is couples and single ladies only every Saturday, Quest is couples and single ladies only 1st & 3rd Saturday Night of The Month.

We are very similar in our preferences and have tried both and enjoyed both.

If you don't play regularly then it maybe a matter of choosing based on a date that suits you. La chambre has more couples only nights and we'd recommend picking a couples only night to start with.

Leeds is probably closer.

Both had decent parking facilities.

Quest is more modern.

In both the challenge is making that first move to talk to someone, rather than sitting as a couple just talking to each other.

We prefer quest but it is a lot closer for us.

I'd imagine you will have fun were ever you decide.

I`ve not been to either but the above quoted sentence is quite important to me.

From reviews and other bits and pieces I`ve seen, and not only just on this site, Le Chambre may be resting on it`s laurels and may have got more left behind than many might realise. Quest appears to have picked itself up from a club with a somewhat poor reputation to one with a completely new look and it is gaining rapidly in popularity and deservedly so if reviews are anything to go by!

I`m not knocking Le Chambre and there as those who will back it to the hilt, but I know what my first choice would be!

Can't see how you can suggest one or the other, when you've not been to either.

We go to both. Both have different feels and atmospheres, partly as a result of the style. Quest is modern, it's too new and clinical for some people, but feels nicer to others. LC is more traditional and cosier feeling, but feels like a pub to others.

We like both, a lot is down to personal preference.

Have fun OP

We've only been to Quest and only joined a few days ago. That means we don't necessarily give a balanced view but do give the view of newcomers.

The club is clean and warm and the location is discreet. The management give a full guided tour. The decor is modern but quite pleasant.

The clientele were friendly. When we went it was mainly couples and some single guys. The latter did follow the first few couples to play but didn't hassle - they watched quite a lot and played with some couples.

We loved it there!

I have based my choice on reviews mainly and other small points that others may not have considered. Le Chambre never got top reviews all the time I used to be on A.N.Other well known forum with frequent complaints about "bad behaviour" and the like. It gets considerably less reviews on here, most of which of which seem to be from those who`s first words seem to be "another great night ......" which tells me nothing. I`m a regular Chams visitor and have written, in the past five or so years I`ve been on, maybe three reviews for Chams and they were to comment on any major changes to the club. Another thing that puts me right off Le Chambre is it`s opening hours which as a regular Chams user comes as a huge shock since Le Chambre doesn`t open on most nights until 9.00pm! Checking on their website, I note that Quest in open for much longer so the client base is there!

Fair enough, and appreciate you are trying to help the OP in good faith.

But advising somebody on one place or another, when you haven't been to either seems difficult imo.

When you`ve been around the scene as long as I have, and live so far away from the nearest decent clubs, if you`re going further afield you do your homework!

a village near Bridlington, East Yorkshire

Only been to clubs twice, we visited LC about 10 years ago visited Quest 10 days ago (Christmas party).

We enjoyed both clubs but preferred Quest. Apparently LC has gone down hill, a lot of people in Quest said they stopped visiting LC in favour of Quest.

Quest is really friendly and feels like a house party, just don't forget to bring your own alcohol.

I don't remember too much about LC but I remember we visited on a Friday, couple and singles night.

As a couple I would recommend a couples only night, especially at first, but this depends on what you are into.

Personally I don't see how anyone could not have enjoyed the night we spent at Quest, we loved the atmosphere, the Jacuzzi was awesome and the people where so friendly.

We are planning to return to Quest on the 7th of Jan, all going well.
