There are spaces but as always parking is limited. When I arrived at 7:30pm yesterday the carpark was full and so was the small overflow carpark and the side streets.

Depending on the time you're planning to arrive I'd say it's highly likely you'll have a walk.

However, this does mean that there are more naughty people to fornicate with!

Oh, and the new area is open and it's gorgeous!

"What new area.??"

It's called the starlight lounge, it's all mirrors, led lighting, there's a dance floor, DJ booth, small bar, seating areas etc. It's very classy and sleek.

Where the steam room was between the showers and the round room, there's quite a big area past there

It's an extension. Eventually there will be more overnight hotel rooms and play rooms

Another staircase would be useful too...

A couple of points from this post.

The new area is an extension to the club as the owners have bought the property next door. The new dance floor etc will be open on Saturday nights and special party nights. For the moment the steam room has gone. It seems to us that this new section is a sop to the Saturday night non-swingers, and a direct competitor to Xtasia.

As far as car parking is concerned, the car park in front of the club is council owned and car parking charges are due to be imposed with fines for non payment. Be warned if you are visiting Chams discretely, make sure that you don't finish up with a notice of fine dropping through the letter box and some difficult explanations to be made to other members of the family!

As it's an extension it would have been pretty much invisible when you visited.

Saw it for the first time last night. It's very nicely done, and for people who are into dancing then it's a very slick areas but probably not for us. We are not there to dance to be honest but each to their own.

Not that this is a suggestion thread for Chams, but if there were two things on our Wishlist they would be :

- Increase ventilation in the 2nd Jacuzzi to stop the chlorine issue which has become increasingly noticeable. Even a couple of small fans at the far end blowing towards the 'corridor' would I think fix the issue.

- Look at re-purposing the top floor. It's very nice up there decor wise, but seems to be only sporadically used and frankly we have stopped bothering to walk up there on most visits. Maybe having a 'dark room' area up there or 'maze' or something similar would provide an 'attraction' to go with the semi-dungeon-y room.

I second this. Perhaps thats something they can re-locate to the top floor....

I understand that Chams management have purchased the car park and will install a pay and display meter.

"Park on ASDA "

And for how long? Most of these big super-racket car parks are monitored and if you stay too long it will cost you more than a couple of quid for a machine!

Since when have you had to pay to park at chams

Also dont think its in direct competition with xtasia as both are totally different clubs...one being a dress down club.. the other not x

Looks like you missed the comment in the post you quoted Miss Cali ..... charges soon to be implemented, presumably in the "outer" car park that is council owned.

It's not as if the envelope is going to say 'fined for overstaying at a swingers club' is it?! Lol

Saw the new lounge last night. Work is still on going but it does look good and on busy nights like last night gives people an extra space to be in.

As a business, won't they likely be applying for a new capacity certificate (fire? Safety? Not sure) that enables busy nights to be just as packed, but over an even greater floorspace?

Not a criticism - the investment needs to be recovered.

Really the car parking...I spoke to the owner about it Friday night ye's charges will apply but anyone buying a ticket and visiting chams will get a near full discount. Basically it's to stop general public parking on the car park...as often the car park is half full of non chams cars..
