So,,,, I'm about to leave the north west for a couple of days in the south east working. Leaving Manchester heading down the M6 through the midlands and onto the south east. Leaving at 6 tonight no particular time or hurry to be down by morning. Where should I stop off, stay, have a beer and visit a club?!!!! Thanks in advance for any suggestions

That's what I normally do, just looking for ideas on where to stay over where there might be a bit of life on a Wednesday night!
