busiest weekdays are probably Monday and Wednesday. Gets busieras day goes on but there is often a changing of the gaurd between 4 and 6 then crowd builds in to evening.

£40 for a couple is very good value, when you consider the size of Kestrels and that their only income is the entrance fee and they are open 263 days a year. Not every day is a sunny day yet unlike other places the pool and the tubs are always heated. Yes it is more expensive than Rio's but we are talking about a very different place

They only close 1 day of the year - Christmas Day - and a couple is £30 if you're a member.

We have been disappointed with the pool temperature too. Trouble is unless you are swimming up and down you get cold standing around.

The £30 it costs us to get in seems fine. On a Monday for instance, we could stay from 10-30 am until midnight if we wanted to. After all it's not a charity and you don't have to go!

I would hardly say the price is a rip off. Pool maintenance equpment heating cleaning electric and its a big place plus free coffee and tea and like sunday free food for the end of summer bbq.

It all ads up so I wont complain about the cost

I guess the price for Single Male is a deterrent to those who would just be a nuisance to single women. If (Big generalisation here, apologies in advance!) ..if single males treated single women with more respect then we'd be heading the right way towards equality.

A female friend of mine did point out recently, that the male masses wandering around are in essence subsidising the others. I guess their point is, without that extra income the club would likely struggle.

I.e imagine the club only having 20 guests on a busy day, all women full members. Not sure £200 is enough to run it for a day. £800 for 20 fully signed up male members, or £1000 for day passes is probably better lol

If that is indeed the case, then maybe the masses need a little more kudos.

The issue on differential pricing has been done to death on this forum. It is what it is and whilst women are in the minority men will pay more.

As for egalitarian pricing, a study showed women paid more for the same products, were the products had been "feminised", disposable razors were one item

Simply 'supply and demand' then....so it's encouraging more women rather than discouraging men. Either way, I don't think it's overpriced... Not that I've been yet!

I personally think it is a bit too expensive for single men but it's supply and demand in the end.

And equality would mean men and women paying the same to get their hair cut, but I don't see any evidence of that yet

For the number of times I've been since my first ever visit about six weeks ago, I should have become a member too. Only didn't because of the six month aspect, however a long time regular I got chatting with last Sunday said that it doesn't apply. Is that true?

"I would hardly say the price is a rip off. Pool maintenance equpment heating cleaning electric and its a big place plus free coffee and tea and like sunday free food for the end of summer bbq.

It all ads up so I wont complain about the cost

Yes, I they raise it a bit soon. I did think it was a bit on the cool side last Sunday. So nice getting in the hot tub though!

It's normally 8pm on a Sunday. Last Sunday was a special. Was nice to stay for two more hours!

Depends on what you're looking for. In some ways, the facilities are better than Kestrels (bigger saunas, steam rooms and bigger jacuzzis). Personally, I much prefer to go there on Sat evenings now. Not such a fan of the atmosphere/dynamic outside couples night.
