Just talk to people, be friendly. Don't be the weirdo in the corner.

Get there early so you can be shown round. Remember no means no, and don't go with high expectations on your first visit. See it as a fact finding trip, and then any playing is a bonus.

certainly speak to the host about being introduced, generally the bar area is good for striking up good banter.

Also fully agree talk to people, even if it is someone you have no intention of playing with. This especially true on a quiet night, enjoy the social aspect plus it is always good to exchange experiences and info about other clubs.

OP imagine being a single lady going for the first time.

I've never been to the pub on my own, haven't been to a nightclub in nearly 20 years and the thought of going to a swingers club alone terrifies me.

The dress code for men is usually smart casual, for ladies it's dress as sexy as you dare. WTF does that mean? I don't own any sexy/kinky stuff, just some nice underwear. I only own one dress which i bought for a wedding last year which is not really suitable and haven't worn high heels since i was a teenager.

On top of the anxiety about going for the first time us ladies have additional worries.

I've been putting off going for the last few months but i'm going to bite the bullet and do it this weekend, got to go clothes shopping first though

What club you planing in going to?

And my rule is never sit down, once you sit down you become stuck there and youll feel awkward walking round just sit back down,

best thing stay at the bar, the staff at most clubs are lovely an will happily chat with you

I'm no expert on clubs, that being said. I've attended a couple of nights now. Still new to the whole scene but from my perspective. Don't overthink appearances. Most people end up sitting in towels, robes or just simply their underwear by the end of the night, no need to go all out on a new wardrobe/outfit.

Instead of sitting in the bar, use the facilities. My first night, I spent a couple of hours in the hot tub/sauna talking to other users.

The club scene had only recently taken off for me, last friday being the first's of many new experiences. I would suggest, keep calm, be yourself and play will find you.

Don't follow people around .

Smoking areas and bar are good places to chat to people .

Go your first time just to experience it and if you play it's a bonus

I go to clubs alone. Be sociable, read the information on the club website you are interested in to find the best night for you, tell the hosts you are new and get a club tour and don't be a dick. This goes for everyone not just single men.
