Hi , everyone I'm a full time transgender woman and looking at attending a few clubs , after a few enquireries they seem to want to class me as a single male because I'm pre op and charge me accordingly . I see. Myself as a bi woman , I understand it's a difficult ground but these days when I'm protected in the rest of society by the equality act it seems a bit old fashioned , would love to here people's views and also about wether trans are really accepted at clubs X thanks Claire

I don't see the problem but I know many clubs who won't let you in the door! Ridiculous in this century!

You are a transgender woman, living 24/7 as female and identify as female, you would get a female membership in our club and pay female prices. Gender is not about what you have between your legs but many people negate this!

If you were a TGirl who only visited as a Tgirl in the club and then lived as a male outside of the club, you would receive a Tgirl membership and would still be admitted into events which were couples and single females only as you would be classed as a female for that event...of course!

I know a lot of clubs work differently and you would need to contact the individual club for their policies xx

It is a difficult one

To me I see no reason why you shouldn't be classed as a woman but not every views it the same

I remember going to a party once and they had a room for woman only and a pre op TS went in and a couple of the woman's husband made a right fuss because they saw her as a man and women only should mean no cocks so she wasn't allowed in

It's like male couples can't join clubs as a couple

You can be married but your not a couple in the swinging club scene

As a trans woman you should be treated as a woman.... It shouldn't matter what stage of the operative process you are at.

Thank you , ideally yes but in real life it's never that straight forward let alone in the swinging scene and LGBT community even .

I face predudice and abuse constantly in real life but just get on with being me . I can't fight every battle or educate everyone who seems it's ok to be unkind x

At VA if you present as female you are classed as female. Stick with the right clubs and you will have many great nights ahead of you x

Near enough

For me it's simple... If you are presenting as a woman then who am I, or anyone else to question it?

As Spicyminx has said, there ARE some accepting clubs and you should always feel comfortable in whatever setting you are in, swinging or otherwise. Spicy is well known for her Bi Nights at VA and you couldn't meet a more welcoming host

I'm sorry that in the modern world you still face abuse and prejudice. I have a couple of close friends in the trans community so I'm sadly familiar with that.... Although it seems more prevalent to the male2femald trans friend than it does to my fem2male friend, something that we've discussed a fair bit..... Maybe it's his beard??

Unfortunately it private clubs are currently allowed to discriminate, roll on when that changes.

Keep fighting your corner but remember you can't teach stupid. Hugs Hun

Hull but travel regularly

You should challenge the clubs more. If you're full time female it shouldn't matter if you're pre or post to get female membership. Good luck x

Do they check that when you enter a club ?

If they do then there's a few guys who wouldn't have to pay male prices

Oh I love it... something tells me that you will be fine

Hate unfairness and elitism and that closed minded people get too dictate the rules...no room for that kind of behaviour or tolerance.

Loving the support you are getting here too. First steps are hard brave ones but always in the right direction. Wishing you happiness Xxx

Quite shocked at some of the responses!

I have played with trasngender females on hormones and very often their cock is far from useful, due to the hormones. i really don't see what that has to do with anything!

I don't think we would be having the same discussion if the OP was female to male transgender! Would you be saying, not you must pay in as a female because you haven't got a cock and a strap on doesn't make you a man?! Believe me...the cock does not maketh the man!!

I would certainly not be vetting every single person on the way into the club by telling them to drop their pants or lift their skirt to check what lies beneath and asking them if they intend to easy pussy or fuck with their cock!!! What a crazy thought!!

If someone lives and identifies as a female, they are a female. Whatever they choose to do when they are having sex, is up to them and their gender should not be judged on their genitals or use thereof!

The trans spectrum is broad...very broad, with varying differences from one person to the next on how they identify and how they present themselves; we are all unique, are we not? Long gone are the black and white days of man and women and hetrosexuality! We now live and enjoy a rainbow coloured world, where we have moved on from man = cock and woman = fanny and thank god we have!!! Move with the times and open your mind!

You ARE female

Your genitalia is irrelevant imo.

Many trans people choose not to have surgery (top or bottom), that does not make them any less of their inner gender than someone CIS or post op trans.

People really need an education

But by that criteria, you assume that all trans women are going through surgery as part of their transition when a lot choose not to do so. transition is not the surgery for many, including the partner of a friend of mine. to use that as a measuring stick is a very inaccurate measure"

When joining a club, filling out the membership form,,,do you put F,M or Trans? It would probably make life a lot easier all round if you just put F and drew no further attention to the issue, which would then become a non issue.

She didn't choose to be born with a penis, have you looked into the op and what those transitioning have to go through for it? Maybe if it was more socially acceptable when she was younger and doctors took it seriously then the op would have been done.

I have done a lot of research on this as I'm doing it for my dissertation, so the comments have been very useful.

Unfortunately growing up in a pre Internet age hasn't helped , severe lack of info and help has led me to lead a life completely in the dark with my gender dysphoria , ultimately a lot of trans never fully transition or even go on hormones . Trying to feel accepted intodays society is a little better but far from enjoyable at times . But the more visible Iam it can only be more helpful for those following me X

If you go to Chams on bi Monday's you will be welcomed. If you take your passport or driving licence with F on they will charge as single fem. My wife didn't realise and proudly went to declare herself female post op but then discovered she'd been overcharged for years! Also she used to make me go with her even though I hate the place as that way we got in as a couple, so I also wish we'd known. Ah well, you live and learn

If the charging policy is £5 for women and £50 for guys, just hand over a fiver as though that was what was expected from the get go

If you assume that everyone else just assumes you are female, then, mostly, they will assume just that.First impressions are very hard to shake off,if you have a certain mindset about who you are, that tends to be transmitted to others and they perceive you as you should be perceived.

I would say the worst thing you can do in that position is to ask. That implies self doubt and you do not doubt yourself,do you?

Anyone should be able to present themselves as they want without question.

I think as well that these days with so many clubs trying to get as much business as they can, they will get what ever ££££ they can.

Look round and pick your clubs. There are plenty that will appreciate you.
