Absolutely gutted that Quest have decided to make every saturday night couples only.

What about the people that can only make saturdays and want to play with singles?

And what about the single males who have taken membership out...will they get a discount because they cant go saturdays.

I dont know why they cant just alternate fridays and saturdays, then everone gets a chance.

They obviously had a huge demand for it.. And to be fair, Dave and Jo do tend to listen to the customers wants. I've seen plenty of proof of this.

We will still be visiting but must admit it was nice to have the option of a mixed night on a Saturday as we too can only go out Saturday nights. x

We have a bit of a compromise which works and Quest may want to think about it. Saturdays are mainly a couples and single females night but we allow 8 guys in who are members and they pre-book. We tend to get enough guys in for those who want to play with them and not too many for those couples who want a couples vibe. We also have TGirls coming in, who bring yet another vibe and angle to the party.

I'm sure the club has it's reasons for this decision and they will probably evaluate their decision further down the line to see if it has been well received or a flop. There are other clubs out the who have couples only Saturdays and they are chocca, so you never know, it may work for them.

I agree they haven't listened to all their customers but obviously a large majority.

The couples only nights are really busy so there is definitely a want there.

We would have preferred it to be mixed every other Saturday as it was (that way it suits everyone and we also like the option of meeting single guys too) but they can't please all of the people, all of the time.

I get really pissed off that so many clubs have Saturday nights as couples and single fems only nights! Though I play with couples occasionally I play largely with single males.

As I see it it's usually the male in a couple who have the 'voice' for both of them - and couples are the 'biggest voice' in swinging - and if the men aren't bi then of course they're going to want couple and single fem only nights - it removes the competition from single males! If I was a guy in a couple I'd do exactly the same!

The answer is possibly to have more singles/couples who play as singles nights to redress the balance - but these seem to be pretty rare! X

Even that's not true. When they first started with just 1 couples only Saturday that was crazy busy. After they changed to 1st and 3rd Saturdays those are still buzy but nowhere near as crazy busy as it used to be when having only 1 a month. And saying that mixed Saturdays are also quite busy and there are plenty of couples going those nights too who don't play with single guys. So this way the club is letting down all those couples who can't go other nights and like to play with single guys too.

Also a let down for most single women as most of them are definitely interested in playing with single guys.

And totally unfair to the single guy members of the club. Appalling decision.

And an other good question: new years eve this year will be a Saturday... will be a new years eve party for couples only??

Just to clarify I'm a member of the club both as a single and as a couple.

We went last Saturday , couples and singles , however not many couples or singles were playing , but plenty of single men prowling about waiting to try and join in with whoever is playing !

The single men didn't seem to allow people to play on their own and we felt it was a bit intimidating . So we only played in a private room

We were told more people play when it's couples only night

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The couples nights that we have attended have been really busy.

Like I said before, I agree that all Saturday's shouldn't be made couples only. I like the option of fun with single guys as well as with single girls and couples (God, I sound greedy!) and I know and understand it's bad news to a lot of people, but surely quest wouldn't make this change to piss people off on purpose. They must have had a lot ask for it.

To also clarify, I too have visited clubs as a single female and as part of a couple.

I can only do Saturday's as I don't have time during week - so I tend to focus on clubs where single guys go on a Saturday, as Friday's I work and would have to take a day off to travel to northen Engalnd

So for me now quest is a club I won't be going to

We have only been to quest once when it was couples and singles. Never again. At one point in the dungeon when G was fucking me on one of the benches I had 4 guys wanking round my head, we kept telling them to move back but they didn't listen so gave up and went into couples room. Will only visit any club on couples nights now.

However on the other side I can see how it does limit people's options especially as there is no local clubs now that allow singles on a Saturday night

Again, could argue with that. On couples only nights there's hardly anyone playing and even those usually only after midnight. And if being annoyed by single guys you always have a lot of options... couples only room, private rooms or simply tell them to get off the bed and allow you more space.

And it's all about the fact that while there are some who want couples only Saturdays there are others as well who don't. Alternate Saturdays were just fine, that way they catered for everyone.

The private rooms were all busy , the guys didn't seem to take notice of requests to move away, they were prowling round the door and wanking whilst looking in on the couples room and one guy was blatantly in the room ignoring the couples only rule !!!

So there wasn't many options left !!!

There must have been a huge demand for couples night every Saturday for Jo and Dave to even consider changing it. We were there a few weeks ago when they were having to turn away couples because it was just too busy. They do really listen to customers ideas and want to make their club the best they can.

It's true on weekends especially the couples nights that playing doesn't tend to start until later, mainly due to the fact us couples and most singles tbh tend to be very sociable and enjoy the atmosphere of a sexy night out before even thinking about sex. We did suggest to Jo Saturday night it might be worth changing to a 3am closing time maybe Friday/Saturdays.

Everyone also has to remember that it is a business they are running and have to make a living. If it doesn't work out well then they can always revert back to the way it was.

I was a member of the old club, due to my circumstances I've not been to the new club,.. given this decision I've no need to join the new club, I don't wish them any harm it's to be hoped the club has enough couples wanting and then attending to make up the fall in single male membership and charges.

Indeed they were very reasonable, as I said a bit further up it's to be hoped that the couples who have asked for this attend consistentlynow, I don't wish them harm however , 1 x membership for a single guy and a Saturday night visit takes the charges for10 extra couples , it's to be hoped they've enough room

It's ok saying they can revert back if ...There's many a business that's tried to go back and not succeeded, clubs have always needed the revenue that single guys bring they are the cash cows, quest was slightly different offering Saturday nights where many don't, I'll not need to join or visit, I hope there's the 10 couples waiting

Brilliant - great to see that a club has listened and willing to look at alternatives

It shows that at least they are taking concerns seriously

Tbh the fact that Abfabs doesn't do Saturday nights means I don't go as often

Friday's are busy at work and I would rather relax and be in good form for a Saturday than rush home get changed then rush back out again

It's good that Dave and Jo are listening and prepared to make changes. As a single lady I have attended some couples only nights which have been very enjoyable but would, as I think many other single ladies and many couples would, like the saturday couples and singles nights to remain please. Surely there must be a happy solution to suit all

Please do because I feel safe at quest and I don't have Friday night free...I like the option of playing with everyone. Couple already rule the schedule. I don't want to go to a different club I like quest

Surely changing closing to 3 am isn't going to address the fact that play isn't starting till late, all that's going to do is let play start later as they will know they have more time.

Not only that, but there could be licensing issues if opening hours are extended.

My other half and I have been talking for some time about coming here...we were about to take the plunge. I would prefer the flexibility of having a Saturday night option to play with single guys - I'm very much a double up kinda gal!

Alternating Friday and Saturday nights each week seems to make sense to keep everyone happy but I'll keep a beady eye on this thread to see what happens. Otherwise we'll just nip across to Amours - no skin off our nose

If couples who only play with couples, need more nights then why not give them a friday or a sunday.

That way everyone still has choice at the weekends.

The simplest way is to designate a night and that probably was the thought.

That way people don't have to check the diary and they don't have too many single guys turning up on the wrong night.

However I can see why making Saturdays a couples only monopoly brings other issues.

Also we can always pick a night for child care. So to be able to say a friday or Saturday to potential childminders would be handy.

I really don't think so... i think that there is a demand from couples who only play with couples to uave more nights available for them TO CHOOSE FROM, but the majority of them wouldn't attend every single couples only Saturday, they just want to have the opportunity to pick and choose the most suitable week(s).

What makes me feeling sick about this is the fact that even on a mixed night those couples have the option to only play with couples, in the couples only room or in private room. But at the other hand those couples and single women who like to play with single guys don't have the option on a couples only Saturday. So technically we have already lost 2 weekends every month yet they still want to take away the rest of the Saturdays too.

And before anyone says it again that some of the single guys don't take no for an answer/go into the couples only room etc... we never have a problem with that, not because they don't try it with us, but because when I say NO they know immediately that it's best not to try it again.

Maybe single males should stop going all together to the club and see how it copes then. It's always the single makes that suffers out of it all. They pay the most to get in as well. I travel 1 hour each way to this club but now looking for some where else to go as I only get Saturday nights of work. Just get the feeling that clubs don't want single guys

The rest of my post goes on to explain why I can see that they came to the conclusion to make all Saturdays cpls only. But also why I agree this is a mistake.

No, I wasn't quoting you out of context. The first sentence was irrelevant I give you that, only left it there because I didn't notice that I haven't deleted it. I understand very clearly what you were trying to say. In fact I agree with most of the things that you are saying. I however don't agree with the actual demand you were talking about...

We are usually there if not every but at least most mixed Saturdays. We have also attended a good few of the couples only events. Out of experience we say that there isn't a real demand for 4 couples only event. When saying that we mean that many of those couples asking for that wouldn't attend more than 1 or 2 a month. They would however prefer having every week couples only so that no matter what issues they might have on any given weekend they could always go the following weekend instead... it's just selfishness and not a real demand. Ask those who are the loudest about it, what is their opinion on making every Saturday and Friday nights couples only and they will love that too.

What would make much more sense in my honest opinion is explaining the clubs rules and general clubbing etiquette clearly to every single guy (and also to some couples...) and after that making sure that those are respected and if anyone ever breaking them ban them for a month first and forever if ever happens again... Surely, having only the respectful, non pushy, sociable guys in the club nobody would have any issue with it

(I personally guarantee that some still would haha)

If people know that they only have to wait a week until the next couples only night, then they are less likely to make an effort to attend regularly.

We run a couples only Friday every 2 months and it's chocca. I know for certain that if we did it more often, it wouldn't work for us.

I really do think that limiting the number of guys on a Saturday is a good option for clubs who want to address the number of guys attending.

There are many couples who like to play with both couples and singles depending on mood, so taking that option away on a regular basis could be detrimental.

The right guys bring something different to parties and I think, taking them out of the equation on a regular basis will change the dynamic of the club over the weekends.

You have tons of options and several ways to skin this cat, so maybe consider alternate weekends or limiting your guys and making sure they are established members or something to ensure you get good guys.

I dunno....it's hard but the masses are talking here and the apple cart has been well ad truly upset! lol

I have witnessed pushy single males at Quest exactly as described. It is both off putting and can leave people feeling vulnerable, particularly when a polite yet firm "back off" is ignored. What could be handy is more staff walking the club to politely and discretely deal with such instances.

One club which I go to frequently recently had a similar complaint. They have started to issue single guys with "etiquette cards" as well as verbally briefing them on acceptable behaviour. It's worked a treat.

Another club I used to go to had a significant change of approach with both the number and the calibre of single men who attend. It soon became a free for all with extremely pushy, disrespectful, d*unk gangs of men. The poor behaviour was left unchecked and seemingly encouraged by the club. Ruined what had previously been an excellent club.

I agree with this, we are mainly interested in couples only nights so make sure when we go to a club we tend to go on a couples only night but we wouldn't be going every week. We have been to the couples only Friday at Townhouse every time it's been on since sometime last year but if it was on every week we probably wouldn't attend as its a fair way to travel and we just don't have the free time but when we get an invite for a set night we go out of our way to make sure we are free and can attend. We've been to 'regular' couples only nights elsewhere and it's been much quieter than a mixed night or a once every so often couples night.

That's how it was until now. We, those couples and single women who play with single guys weren't happy with it but accepted that other members' needs also have to get catered for. Now we are asking those other members to do the same. Leave it as it was, 1st and 3rd Saturdays couples only rest of them mixed.

Great that Jo and Dave are listening to customers and canvassing opinion. We prefer to play with singles so tend not to enjoy couple only nights and events.

We'd prefer every Saturday to be open but accept the idea of alternate Saturdays. If couples need more closed nights maybe the same could be done on Fridays.

Alternatively we liked the idea of couples only but a small number of select single guys who are members can book in advance and attend.

We've not been for ages due to 'her' living abroad most of the time. We still aim to get here as soon as we can.

The single men didn't seem to allow people to play on their own and we felt it was a bit intimidating . So we only played in a private room

We were told more people play when it's couples only night

And it's all about the fact that while there are some who want couples only Saturdays there are others as well who don't. Alternate Saturdays were just fine, that way they catered for everyone.

Why don't they alternate Saturday's and Friday's so that works for everyone

"We have a bit of a compromise which works and Quest may want to think about it. Saturdays are mainly a couples and single females night but we allow 8 guys in who are members and they pre-book. We tend to get enough guys in for those who want to play with them and not too many for those couples who want a couples vibe. We also have TGirls coming in, who bring yet another vibe and angle to the party.

We've been to Quest on couples only and mixed Saturday night. On the mixed nights we've been to the single guys have been well outnumbered by the couples !! The single guys have always been well behaved on the nights we have been there.

I think the "problem" of single guys could have been solved if there were a couple more lockable rooms. If we want to play with a new couple that we have been chatting to on a night when singles are in we prefer a private, locked room. As there are only two of these we may have to wait a while. We don't want an initial play to possibly be interupted by others in an open room.

With people we know well, we'd probably play in an open room as we'd fend off unwanted advances very quick.

Possibly a Saturday "Threesome" night where a couple can bring along, and be responsible for the behaviour of, a single guy might be a compromise ?

Over the 13 years we have been going to Isis and then Quest we have always found the single guys to be most polite and respectful. Yes they do "prowl" but a polite no is all that's needed. I also think every Sat night couples night is a mistake x

I think etiquette is a different matter.

I'd imagine couples and singles are equally capable of being badly behaved.

The issue here is more around addressing a demand.

If a demand for more couples only nights has been suggested which seems likely it's just about filling that demand in the best way possible. It's not like the club started out with cpls only nights. When it was Isis I'm not sure it had any.

It would make not sense to change unless there was profit in doing so.

I can see the logic in picking one night. From an ease of understanding for customers, but the alternative Friday / Saturday seems more palatable without annoying singles who also want a Saturday option.

As a single female who regularly attends most Saturdays with another single female we are gutted about the "no single men".... Infact we used to sometimes avoid the " couples" because we just didn't enjoy it, why can't you leave it like before then everyone's happy.

we prefer mixed nights as the dynamics are different and for us better.. also find much less actually play or play till really late on couples only nights...

1st and 3rd Saturday worked for us as just went elsewhere

To be honest we thought the once a month couples only was a good idea and it seemed to have a lot there at the one we went to. We only went because we did not realise it was couples only, we much prefer the mixed nights. I honestly think if every Saturday was couples only after a few weeks it would be very quiet as couples know they could go any Saturday. At least once a month it gives couples something to look forward to and arrange time to go and if they are really that desperate to go then there are always private rooms and couples only room which they can use at any other time. We have never had a problem with the single guys at Quest but quite often the male half of couples are the ones who wander round fully clothed in the dress down area. This is something we have commented on before. It does seem all the single guys get tared with the same brush which is a shame.

You possibly haven't realised that - although at first they've started with 1 couples only Saturday very soon they've changed it to 1st AND 3rd Saturdays... we weren't happy with those changes... but at least we still had 2 or sometimes 3 Saturdays left as mixed so accepted it. But now monopolising every Saturdays that's something we can't accept, especially seeing that it's CLEARLY NOT WHAT "YOU'VE ALL BEEN ASKING FOR"

Jo and Dave must realise that the loud couples asking for that are not representing everybody, in fact not even the majority of the members. It's a small minority who just want it all for themselves.

First of all it 5 other nights but it is nitpicking... it's not about single men having no other possibilities. It's about couples and single women who can't go out and play with single guys anymore. Most of us have only Sundays off and we want to be able to have fun too.

If you really need a couples only night every week it is fine with us. In fact have 2 couples only nights a week i don't mind. But don't monopolise every Saturday night. Have one couples only Sunday, another week a couples only Friday and pick any other day of the week we don't mind. Just leave Saturdays alone...

I hate to say it but this attitude doesn't help the single guys. What stops quest alternating couples only nights between Friday and Saturday. You still get the couples night once a week but it gives flexibility to other patrons

I can't get there on a Friday because I live in London but I could get there on a Saturday, and I would like to meet swinging friends from the scene there.

I understand that your not looking for single guys but there are a number of genuine decent guys who would like to go, as well as couples and females that want to meet them

That isnt the issue....the issue is couples monopolising every saturday night.

Not every couple wants to meet another couple.

If you feel you need more than 2 nights a month for couples only, then the club should offer a friday or sunday for that.

That way everyone gets to enjoy a saturday night out.

We don't play with single guys at the moment and generally attend coupls only nights. We have been to clubs on mixed openings and it's been fine, but numbers were low.

We wouldn't enjoy an evening where there was an overwhelming inbalance of single guys.

Maybe alternating weekends or fixing the ratio of single men to couples??

thats kinda a very selfish attitude to take... its suits you but stuff everyone else affected...

As proved by the club owners' earlier posts on this thread, clearly all customers have a voice and are listened to. However, these would be the customers who are making constructive suggestions as an alternative to the new schedule rather than sulking, throwing a temper tantrum and insulting other club patrons.

Put your dummy back in, think of a sensible, mature suggestion and you may be more successful in having your disappointment with the proposal listened to.

Alternating the couples only day Saturday / Friday / Saturday would still mean couples get their day to themselves but it would mean for those singles that couldn't go on a Friday can still go

I have never complained about couples having a couples only night at any club, In fact I think most clubs should have one, it's just how that is managed, why should couples have just Saturday's, or just Friday's. There is a way to manage it - either alternate or have a website with what is going on

There are 7 nights in the week with 2 that are weekends, now if I was running a club. I would alternate the weekends one for couples, one not. Have a couples only day during week as well. With a day left for running a what ever like a girlie night or bdsm night and the other nights are open to all

If it is couples only then NO single females should be allowed, I wonder how the couples that have been moaning would like that !!!!!

I foresee a potential problem.

If Jo and Dave revert back to two Saturdays couples only, then on the mixed Saturdays Quest might get a load of single guys going along to prove that it's a popular decision. However that might make the couples on the mixed night feel "overwhelmed" and cause them to only go on couples only nights.

Without couples there is no scene and if the majority don't play with single males, and I'm not saying that's the case but if it is, then any business that wants to succeed will aim to please its biggest client base first. It's simple economics. We chat to couples on here all the time who won't go to clubs because of the presence of single guys.

We enjoy quest immensely but will only visit on couples only nights from now on.

I get what you are angling at, but what probably did not occur at the time was the premium that a Saturday night has.

If it was every Sunday night or even every Friday night is couples only then I don't think there would have been too much of an issue.

But it's clear there are couples and single fems who are also restricted to Saturdays and Quest is the only realistic place in Yorkshire were they could attend.

The Saturday premium seems to be more of the issue.

Quest to me has always been a very inclusive club. They are doing a superb job of listening to ALL their guests, whoever may 'make the scene'.

I (the male) don't especially play with single girls right now, but I may do in the future. In the meantime all L will be able to have is a girl with a boyfriend in tow. Not sure Saturdays will be for us under this rule. Which is a shame because Quest seems a nice venue.

In my experience this whole idea of "people play more on couples nights" is total horseshit. Might be the case at quest, we are new there so I can't say for sure. But at other clubs if anything they play less. I've seen many a couples night where I've been the only person playing. The rest all all just there for the social side and spend the entire evening in the bar and jacuzzi. Supposedly a lot played in the attached accommodation after hours. Which does beg the question what is the point in the club, but thats a different discussion I guess.

At one point in the dungeon when G was fucking me on one of the benches I had 4 guys wanking round my head, we kept telling them to move back but they didn't listen so gave up and went into couples room. Think this is the main reason why many cpls do not play in public rooms on a mixed night..1 in 5 guys ruins it for all the others..The "1" tends to forget the English word "No" and still tries to get his "cake"..

This leads then to that all single guys are painted with the same brush...

Some clubs limit the amount of single guys coming into a club but that still doesn't keep the Mr "1" away...sadly

I've had a thought, echoing one of the earlier posts. What about a wristband type situation where a single guy can only go into the play areas once a couple has invited him. Said couple could get a wristband from the bar and give it to the guy they want to play with? Perhaps even colour code it to see who is with who?

I realise this isn't perfect but it would stop the wandering packs that put us, and a number of other couples off.

His behaviour would then, and I realise nearly all guys at clubs are decent chaps, be accountable to the couple who invite him in.

People tend to behave better when they realise it will have repercussions for others, especially when they want to play with that couple.

Just a thought.

Oh and I got my shoes stolen at amours so judge that how you will.

And stolen shoes.? How someone takes there shoes out of a locker then take 45 minutes to get dressed then can't find his shoes . One thing swingers are on the whole is honest. We often get cash jewellery and car keys handed in ..... So wow they must have been some shoes ... Though I must say our " lost property cupboard " could fill a charity shop on a weekly basis ..... Though could have been worse it's been known to loose a partner in a swinging club

Just an update about changes to Saturday night.

We would like to thank you all for your very valued input, it matters to us that people are comfortable and feel happy

So sorry for the error we have obviously made and thank you for all your understanding

So all back to normal now, but remember this Saturday is a Couples & Single Ladies only and the followikng Saturday will be normal Couples & Singles

"Every other night of the week single guys can go in so I don't see the issue in having Saturday's as couples only.

We enjoy quest immensely but will only visit on couples only nights from now on.

And you will still be able to attend at least 2 times a month on a dedicated couple's evening.

Quest to me has always been a very inclusive club. They are doing a superb job of listening to ALL their guests, whoever may 'make the scene'.

God yes...I'm like Mrs I guess as wouldnt dream of touching without an invite and even then I check again... but had many more incidents of women touching either me or my partner without asking than ever have with guys... but my point mostly is this small percentage of people without manners need reporting to staff or they will keep doing it x

The single men didn't seem to allow people to play on their own and we felt it was a bit intimidating . So we only played in a private room

We were told more people play when it's couples only night

And it's all about the fact that while there are some who want couples only Saturdays there are others as well who don't. Alternate Saturdays were just fine, that way they catered for everyone.

So there wasn't many options left !!! "

I have only been on Friday night's when single guys go and yes guys do prowl around but I will and have made I very very clear to them that I do not want them to join, nor to touch me. Call me forceful lol

We were at Quest yesterday - Dave said they were going to do alternate Sat nights couples only....that seems a fair compromise....we like to meet couples bit we prefer to attend a mixed night....more choices and a freer atmosphere we find, m x
