I mean is it the done thing? I've recently separated from my wife after what was a sexless marriage. I'm now looking for new sexual experiences and meeting new people. I don't know anybody personally who is involved in the swingscene so was toying with the idea of going to a club such as Adam & Eves(Manchester) one afternoon on my own. Do guys ever go on their own to these clubs or will I stand out like a sore thumb?

There are days/nights when guys on their own are so much the majority that it's insane. Other times, not as many (meaning you might have a chance to talk to, if not more, couples and women).

Women on their own are the minority, but hey...it happens!

I am in the same bout so to speak. I want to ask venues ask about single male participation when is the best time to visit and get a good ratio of males and females couples.

Blokes do go n there own, just don't expect anything, and it will be a bonus if something happens

Some clubs hold greedy girl events... Maybe a good place to start

I frequently go on my own, first time I went I went with the intention of nothing happening and just watching and seeing how things went, and then ended up having a wonderful time!

But there's often an excess of guys so pick a club with good facilities so if no playing happens you can still have a relaxing time

I attended Townhouse, Birkenhead, a week ago on my own, on a Greedy Girls Afternoon.

It was a bit scary, but I was greeted well and there were several other men also attending for the first time.

There were a few couples, I did see some action and I could probably have joined in with 1 couple, but I just walked about or hung about watching.

The bar, the hot tube and sauna were good.

You don't have to be a member for some events, which is good, and the admission was £30.

So if I go again then I will know the ropes and will feel more relaxed.

Don't be daunted, it's a common thing for single males. I go all the time on my own, socialise around the bar or chat to other single males get some advice about the club, it will only be lonely if you make no effort or are too shy.

I've been to a club in Edinburghon my own. It's was fine and they were all very welcoming. And I got some action, so good result all round. It was a bit daunting walking through the door but once inside I relaxed and it was good. My advice is go for it

Yes, single people, guys and ladies, do go to swinging clubs.

Well, we are thinking mainly of Kestrels Spa.

Some couples avoid couples-only events because that means there aren't single guys to make use of. With females being "greedy", you generally need more guys that ladies, so yes, all good.

There have been times at Kestrels when there haven't been enough single guys to go around, so the ones there have ended up rather over-used

Not the majority experience, but just to put things in perspective...

Cupids is a good friendly club and they have a greedy girls afternoon once a month on a friday. If you tell the staff that it's your first time they will give you a tour and explain club rules and etiquette to you. Then just stand at the bar and socialise with the other guys, who will give you pointers and the ladies and couples.

Don't go and sit down away from the bar on your own coz you probably spend the afternoon on your own.

Don't just go downstairs looking for some "action" and follow couples around.

Don't go with any expectations that you're going to "get something"

Just go, relax, socialise, have a laugh, and if you get the opportunity to play then treat it as a bonus.

Go with the intention of making new friends and you won't go far wrong.

It's just like going into a new pub on your own fit the first time. And if you want a drink, remember, most clubs dont have a licence to sell alcohol so you'll need to take your own booze.

Above all rise relax

I'm a regular at Townhouse and always go alone. Very liberating. Very friendly place and I only ever play if I feel a bit of a spark with someone. Otherwise I might have a perve, have a hot tub, have a natter with the gorgeous bar staff

if fact you'd look like more of a human being if the conversation didn't...

just don't hang around like a lost mute lamb... all good convo's and a few rubbish ones all start with the word "hello"

Decadance is a club we attend and there are always males on their own enjoying themselves. Interaction is the best thing and if you feel Comfortable then their is lots of fun to be had

Echoing the above although we are a couple I regularly attend on my own and am always to be found chatting in either the bar or the hot tub, I'm much more comfortable going to Townhouse on my own than I ever would be going into a local bar. (Her)

ive attended all girls events alone - and once went to a club alone where it was a regular night and i didnt like it - even though i knew people that worked there - very out of my comfort zone
