Effrenata, VA's festival of fun or swingfields. Anyone got any experience of all three or insight into which is the best for tent camping.

From what I heard Effrenata didn't live up to it's promises at all last year and it's not even on this year.

Swingfields is an awesome weekend and great for tent camping. I went last year and I'm going again this year.

VA's Festival of Fun gets great reviews but I haven't been myself. I hope to get there next year though.

We would agree with Lee except we have been to the VA festival if fun and can confirm it was an excellent to weekend of fun. So much so that if we had to pick one to go to that woukd be it.

Swingfields was a very close second.

Effrenata... we wasn't there but from what we've been told by many people the less said the better....

We have only been to Swingfields, this year will be our fourth year and is a brilliant 3 day festival.

The Vanilla Alternative Festival of Fun takes place in the extensive grounds of this wonderful club situated in Tempsford, Bedfordshire. Having attended over the past few years I can report that the festival and facilities have improved year on year, together with the number of visitors. Many people bring tents, caravans or motor homes whilst others stay in the on-site VA hotel or one of the many other hotels close by.

The weekend combines the excellent facilities of the main club together with a massive inflatable marquee outside that houses a live stage, additional bar, play areas and dance floor.

Apart from the main parties on Friday and Saturday nights, the weekend provides an ideal opportunity for like minded people to have some fun in the sun, socialising and possibly taking part in the many organised and impromptu activities.

We had a great time at effrenata... It should have been brilliant but I doubt it will be on this year so largely irrelevant.

Swingfields is great for tent camping although hoping for a different site this year as last year half the site was quite a big hill (by tent pitching standards).

VA festival of fun is on the to-do list

Effrinata was a huge let down in many ways ,a real shame as it had such potential .

Swing fields is brilliant tho ,real good mix of people and activities . Absolutely loved it

Hurry up August for VA's Festival of fun!

Although we are not camping we shall be there all weekend causing mischief....and possibly a buffet
