Club advice

I'm a singe female and have never been to a club before, I'm thinking of trying la Chambre on a Friday night.

I'm worried about ending up sat on my own all night and would like some advice on how to best approach the night?

Also, I'm not very body confident due to my size, I know from reading other posts size shouldn't be an issue, I was thinking of wearing something like the tops you get for the beach and normally wear over your swimwear, would this seem a reasonable thing to do to give me a bit of cover but still giving enough of a hint and would this be ok in all areas of the club?

Hi hunnie people always come to me asking for advise on there first time at a club so here goes .. Firstly wear what you feel comfortable in and take a change of clothes incase you still feel out of place .. the next stage is the tricky one finding your feet .. the trick is just go slowly you will find most will welcome you and try to help as much as possible . You will find after about an hr you will lose the nerves and start to enjoy . Do not feel compelled to play if nobody floats your boat .. dont drink to much as you will just stand out .. i hope all goes well for you hunnie and if you need anymore tips feel free to message .. go forward and enjoy every moment xx landscapelad mark

Thank you for your reply. I won't be drinking as I'll drive so that's one thing I won't have to worry about at least. I just need to pluck up the courage to actually go now

Its the 5 minutes situation .. thats the time you arrive and think shall i shan't i .. its simple .. dont think just do .. hell if you get over the threshold and dont like it your not on a rubber band you are free to leave but i know you will stay purely out of interest angel xx

Ahhh I remember feeling exactly like you OP. My advice would be to tell the staff it's your first time in a club. A good club looks after it's ladies, ask for a tour so you know where everything is, smile and chat to everyone. I always say to myself if I dont enjoy it I leave. It takes the pressure off for me. I always drive and don't drink. You will get lots of offers from men to escort you. Unless you know them well I would say that is the last thing you need; they are doing it cos the want to get in cheap or don't have the guts to go alone. People will see you as a couple and you will be labelled with that strangers behaviour.

Don't feel pressured into doing anything you don't want to. If someone asks you if you want to play a polite 'no thanks' should do. If not tell the staff. Don't be vague and say 'maybe later' unless you mean they have a chance. Be clear about what you want.

Wear whatever you feel sexy and comfy in. Most of all - have fun and enjoy the night!!

The outfit you describe will be absolutely perfect. It's a smart casual dress code but the priority is what you're comfortable in and feel nice wearing. You can be fully dressed to fully naked anywhere in the club you like, although I recommend not going fully dressed in the pool! It takes forever to dry off wet clothes

Forgot to add, you get a tour on your first night and the staff will happily introduce you to some of the regulars or if you come this friday, you can chat to me behind the bar. You won't struggle to find somebody to chat to

Hi OP the nerves are perfectly understandable we were all new once and know how it feels, I'm going to LCs tomorrow night for my first visit in 5 years so I'm a bit nervy but feel to come say hello if you see me and feel welcome to chat privately on here beforehand if you wish too might help settle the nerves knowing there's a friendly face to say hi to when you get there (if you decide to go of course)

I was completely terrified the first time I braved a club without my trusty wing man. The staff were amazing and looked after me all night. Everyone was very nice and neither stand offish nor invasive. Luckily there was a couple there who were newbies too and we nattered and chuckled together.

Email the club first and they will look after you and keep an eye on you. Give it a whirl, you'll be chuffed with yourself for braving it and it's a great way to make real friends.

I've made a handful of genuine chums through clubbing and I wouldn't be without them, whether as clubbing wing chicks or just for fun people to share too much wine and lots of laughs with.

Blimey!!! This is so relevant to me, ive been on fab 8months me & fb have been talking about going to a club, but we are both excited but nervous about going, can anyone please advise us on the best Northwest club to go to without paying expensive membership until we have tried it 1st to see if we like it.is it best to go on the afternoon perhaps when it may be quieter ?

Any advice gratefully received

Well I went and it was free membership and also free entry for ladies last night so a bonus.

The club wasn't as big as I expected from looking on the website but it's got everything it says.

I have to admit it was quite scary but thankfully, as above, I was very kindly escorted by a lovely kind lady and her friend which made it so much better.

It wasn't overly busy and not many younger people in but I realise it's luck of the draw and every time will be different.

I felt comfortable downstairs, sadly missed out on a guy I was looking at as I didn't have the confidence to speak to him and although he was looking over he never came over.

When I went upstairs with the kind lady to sit in the quieter area to chat we were suddenly surrounded by guys which was a bit unsettling, one guy sat very close and didn't seem to want to take no for an answer, after my friend went off to play a nice guy could see I was uncomfortable and kindly rescued me although we had to do a detour to get rid of the other guy from following us.

The downside was the way the night ended, my rescuer took me downstairs and after starting playing we realised we had no condom - big lesson here that even on your first visit make sure you have them with you at all times just in case you do decide to play - he went to get one from the bar and as he had been upstairs with his clothes on - as had many others - he was thrown out, leaving me downstairs waiting for him to return and feeling daft, not great on a first visit!! Luckily he was able to explain to me later.

Rather disappointing that staff wouldn't let him just come to tell me he had to leave or even for them come and tell me themselves rather than leaving me there waiting.
