when one posts a review of a club you tick a box saying you must of visited said club, I think if "since your last visit to the club" was added it would stop people keep putting avoid or ok reviews.

this may stop people keep putting the same review on weeks/months after a disagreement

There is a very subtle. Number of reviews. And number of reviewers, though unless you are regularly checking a particular club you wouldn't know. Think this tweak was put in to sort out the avoid stuff. Tbh once you posted an avoid or OK then it's clearly an opportunity for the club to inquire and rectify, should they wish to. Perhaps learn what to do better.

Perhaps like the no forum post until online for 30 days, rule could be adapted as a simple program switch off one post to a club per month, two months or whatever frequency. A five minute job. Tbh

This would save all clubs the hassle of public discussion on improvement points.

A club review should be just that... An honest review of how you found a particular club and it's facilities.... Without the fear of a backlash from regular patrons via private message or more reviews posted from the same people over and over again.

We believe that once you have reviewed a club, then either a period of time should be in place before you can post another review for the same venue, this would eliminate the weekly reviews by the same people... Some seem to use it as a review of where they've been that weekend... Or that when you review a club it shows on your profile... Again there wouldn't be as much credibility attached to a review of a club, if it was the 34th time a person or couple had reviewed it!

Maybe a 'not for us' button would be better than just an 'avoid' choice.... There may be nothing wrong with somewhere but it just isn't for you for a reason that the club has no influence over

What annoys me about club reviews is how people just don't leave them for fear of trouble. We visited a club and had a mediocre night, I wrote a review of the experience several times and changed my mind - we were from out of the area and had given the club our address when we became members so it would have been obvious who left it. We gave it another go a few weeks later and had a worse night (our own fault for going back) this time I thought sod it and left an honest review of our time there with an 'OK' rating - I got 7 responses to it via PM from other couples agreeing with our opinion of the night in question but not one of them left a review, I asked a few of them about it and they said they wouldn't as they didn't want to get banned. More honest reviews would have saved us the time visiting the club once let alone twice so I found this quite disappointing.

Reviews should be honest. We've had a few. " music to loud ". " people too young ". Hot tub to hot. Hot tub to cold. All clubs are different. We've been clubs and they have been full of old people. Other clubs just not for us. At the end of the day you'll find a club you like. And even then might just be the wrong night. We tell people to visit all the clubs un like some club owners that ban you for trying somewhere else.
