A swinging club almost next door to the shopping centre is a great idea - however, I won't be visiting until I have had a telephone conversation with the owner/manager of the club. I have a few questions I need answering before I step through that door.

Brothels are illegal, swinging clubs are legal, legitimate and safe havens for consensual, unpaid swingers. I think so, at least for the time being. Their fab profile indicates they will be opening on Sundays soon, but I don't know when that will be.

They used to open on Friday nights, but not sure whether they will be in future - guess we'll just have to keep checking their profile!

It must be great to be such a knowledgeable expert without ever having experienced a club first hand. None of the club's I've visited could be even loosely considered brothels, they are safe, fun environments to enjoy the swinger lifestyle within your own personal boundaries. We as a couple have been going to clubs together for over 3 years now... Much prefer it over private meets as there is no hassle, no pressure and great facilities.

Enjoyed them previous to that as singles ( its how we met) and its so far removed from your thoughts that it is insulting to those that do go.

Nonetheless, the Poynton school of charm obviously isn't great, and as much as Eccles isn't the nicest of areas, I suspect that the club in Eccles gets clients from all over, maybe even Poynton! Fancy that!

Well maybe i will have a drive by. Does the place have a website? There used to be a borthel in that area described as a sauna. It was on the corner of third avenue and trafford road. Not sure if its still there. These places are often tricky to find and stuck hidden away on some industrial estate or behind a blanked out door or shop window.

How narrow minded and disrespectful is the chap from Poynton. Those people who choose to work in the sex industry are neither shameful or tarts as you uneloquenty describe them. The operative word is choose, as long as those people who choose to be paid for sex are exercising that right on their own terms and are adults then who are you to judge them as shameful? Some could argue you being a member of a recreational sex site are just as shameful? Seeking the opinion of your family and see what response you get?

I happen to have the greatest respect for those who choose to enter the sex work industry.

My second point is the OP misguided view that adult clubs are nothing more than brothels. I attend one club regularly and the management are dedicated to running an establishment for adults who choose a lifestyle of recreational sex , in a professional and courtesy manner. Those who attend clubs (for the most part) are interested in meeting like minded people nothing more nothing less and this club in particular provides a safe, clean and supportive environment for all who attend particularly single ladies who enjoy the lifestyle.

One final point I must make and that is the OP view that a particular district is rough. This particular area of Salford has its social issues like most urban areas but I would rather place my faith in the working class folk of Eccles than the people of Poynton any day of the week.

It also begs the question......if an undertakers sells cigarettes is it a corner shop? Probably not, its still an undertakers. Therefore if a "massage parlour" calls itself a swinging club 1 night a week, but still offers paid services the other 6, is it a swinging club or massage parlour?

I'd agree that's sounds dodgy - and probably nor somewhere I'd feel comfortable going!

However - you didn't just deride that club - you derided all clubs - whilst admitting that you've never even been to one!

I - on the other hand - have been to lots of clubs on many occasions - and KNOW that they're great places to socialise, make friends, and have great sex if you really click with someone!

Sound awful, don't they??

The reaction to the comment was due to the poster saying "they are mostly" not this one in particular, which makes the attendees what exactly?

And if a football club hosts a concert, it doesn't make the party goers football fans does it. Just makes the place dual purpose.

That said I'm less keen to go if it is the case of parlour rest of week. Wouldn't like to be in a situation where things were misunderstood from others. Still nervous newbies.

This club does not trade as a sauna in the week. What might of gone on there before does not anymore. The owners now are running it as a swingers club and nothing else. Which also you can hire for your private parties. I have been the club a few times now and like the atmosphere in there. Have you been to this club and spoke to the owners and asked them are they a sauna in the week. If not its just hear say that it is . People should not judge a club until they have been there themselves. It's like single males are tarred with the same brush there are good ones and bad ones the only way to find out is to meet them .
