Places to visit near the VA club

We have always fancied a visit to the VA club but it's a bit of a trek for us to travel there and back on the same night , so was thinking of stopping over either at the club itself or a hotel nearby

So if we was going to be making a weekend of it could anybody recommend a nice place to visit that's not far away from the club ?

Well st Neots is where I live and it's a great little market town. There aren't many shops but if you like nature there is a lovely river and on a nice day it's great to explore.

Wybo lakes is a nice place to stay but a little dated. There are two premier inns just off the a1 in st Neots too.

Cambridge is only 30mins by car east too. Could always go punting. Or for a shopping trip the following day. Or 30mins west is MK where there is a tonne of stuff to do. We love going indoor skiing there. .

It really depends what you want to do . Hope that helps.

You could always visit Cambridge, it's not very far away, about half hour in the car
