We attended a club on Friday and had an amazing time. We found the single men to be courteous and appreciative of personal space. However we looked at reviews for last night and saw it sounded the complete opposite. This was weird for us to see such a stark contrast.

The question to you all including the males is regarding etiquette involving males in clubs. How do you find it works with regards inviting single male play. And does it ever get too much? Also what do you consider a good ratio of males in a club with couples and single fems?

It depends on the club and the atmosphere on the night.

Being a single male, I am 100% polite and don't force the situation to get something from a female or couple.

I have learnt over the years that just because I have a cock doesn't mean that every female in the room is going to want it.

From what I have seen most guys in clubs act just like you descibe Dave & Ellie. If you want a guy to join you in a room etc, Just ask. We are all there for the same reasons. Some (crazy men) may even turn you down. But that doesn't mean anything other than you weren't their cup of tea. The same if you turn a guy down.

I personally like to chat in the social areas first and you can discuss your wants and limits before moving on.

I sometimes wonder just how true some reviewers are. You sometimes see single women or couples complaining of a guy masturbating in an open play area. Lets be fair, If you don't want to see willys or pussys you shouldn't be in a place like a swingers clubs.

We have had it the Same as op and the opposite. We have found the men at times to be anything but respectful and yet the reviews have said how good the singles were and vs versus x

I actually nearly never went back to one club because 3 visits and everyone the clientele left me feeling it wasn't for us. Guys that touched without asking and had no concept of personal space x women that were to d*unk to do anything much and couples where the male half was worse than any single.

Yet went one more time and apart from 2 single guys it's was great x so it's swings and roundabouts

I've visited several clubs, some glamorous, some not so glamorous, i believe it all depends on which club you visit and what night.

I've found Chams and VA to be the nicer end of the club scene, and i've yet to see single guys walking around waving thier magic wand in my face.

Plus, id never go to a club that does'nt allow single guys in, we don't all wish to play with couples.

I think it varies club to club, and person to person if they think it's busy or not. We have been to some clubs where the single men have been great, others where they have been really creepy, and even seen one commit a serious and violent sexual assault after being invited to join a couple.

We have gone to some clubs and thought "this is packed!" couldn't actually find a space to play once we had found a couple we liked, then spoke to another couple a few days later that we saw were there the same night, and they said they had never seen it so quiet!

As a single male it can be quite daunting in clubs. I believe I should be polite and courteous, never touch without asking and dont follow people. Socialising is a good way to get involved too.

However, some couples seem to delight in making things hard work for single guys....and Id say some go to the extent of teasing then turning a guy down. Whereas other couples make it easy, either politely saying thanks but no thanks or making it obvious what they want.

One memorable moment in a club I walked into a small playroom where a couple were having sex....I asked if I could join them in the room. She smiled and said of course. After watching him take her from behind for a while I asked if I could touch her breasts. The reply...only if you get your towel off and let me suck you!

We have found single guys to generally polite and friendly.

Yes we have had dealings with a few less so. However overall it's a small percentage. The last one asked Frisky to play, when she said no, he said "I'll make you cum three times and give you £40."

She told him she wasn't a prostitute... He replied "£50 then, think what you could do with all that money." She looked down at him and told him to go away. When I came back from the toilets, she told me what had happened...

I (her) am not sure if there is an ideal ratio and personally think it comes down to the men who attend as individuals. People also go to clubs for different reasons so a ratio that would work for some wouldn't for others. I've had more problems with the male halves of couples who won't take no for an answer or touch without asking than single men. However, a new one on us this week was a single male pleading / whining outside a private to join us

I don't drink alcohol if I'm in a club and playing nor do I preload. I want to be completely conscious and in control of all my decisions.

Having said that if I'm going to a social with no plans to play then alcohol has been known to pass my lips...

We have had some great nights with single guys and in most clubs find that the guys are respectful.

Unfortunately though, I think that for some clubs, single guys are just a "Cash Cow". The more you can get in the more money they will make. It is fairly common for there to be four - six single guys per couple in some places.

Personally, baring in mind "most" couples are looking for ladies & couples. I think that two couples per single guy is a more sensible ratio.

I have been to nights when it has been ratioed and I have felt like a spare part

The chances are maybe 1 in 4 would be looking for a single guy,

I prferd when the club has opened up but been reasonable.

As a single M now and previously part of a couple. .i found that there can be too much single Men but how we looked at it (couple) is that there was more choice for her and we never encountered any pushy or disrespect males..however there will always be the exception to the rule as in every walk of life so you just gotta role with it..I got on very well with single males..as i don't talk any crap and can see both sides very clearly

sadly a lot of clubs, and yes I know not all, see single males as a way to make a considerable chunk of change every week, by charging significantly more for entry and membership.

I personally believe it is this high cost that puts in to some single males heads that they have "the right" to touch because they have spent so much to get in.

I DO NOT CONDONE THIS ATTITUDE but have seen it happen in clubs when I have been in the past and sadly, it casts a rather unpleasant light on the genuine, polite single males that have attended in the hope, without expectation.

As part of a previous couple on here, I have seen both ends of the spectrum. One end where a man who could already see us through a window to a room was incredibly respectful and knocked the door to ask if we minded him watching, the other where a different man got hands on with my ex without invitation and then tried to let himself into a locked room later on with a bit of force.

Both instances were at xtasia. Not a reflection on the club at all, but goes to show that experiences vary I guess.

Well I am no expert in economics, let alone running a club. But if you take the Vanilla Alternative as an example, its open on a Friday and Saturday night (plus special events, MILF club, festival, NYE etc.). On a Saturday there are no single men, so they aren't subsidising the club then. On a Friday men are allowed in, but the numbers are limited to 10, so its not packed with them.

Friday night prices: F £10, MF £35, M £40

Saturday night prices: F £15, MF £45

So this whole idea of "there wouldn't be clubs without single men paying for them" argument doesn't seem to hold much water. But I'm sure the variety ofclubs have different business models.

there's a club just up the road from me , ive never actually been in purely because I fill abit nervous about going , I'm a 26 year old single male and ive heard that clubs tend to be full of older men so don't want to walk in and fill out of place

clubs in the London area are more expensive and its the weekdays when the guy attendance makes the difference

Went to a club just outside Birmingham a little over a year ago with a female friend and saw a load of single middle-aged guys band together, then soar around the place like a gang being totally obnoxious, ruining the whole night. Not been back since funnily enough. Really not nice to see, especially as a single bloke myself.

As I pointed out on a different thread.

We recently attended Abfabs on a Friday night and hated it, been a few times on a Friday but this was the worst.

Club seem to be very inactive in enforcing dress code and a code of conduct /etiquette.

A pack mentality ensues and the assumption that sex is guaranteed due to the high entrance fee.

It felt more like a whorehouse than a swinging club.

Every woman followed and harassment at every opportunity.

Now I will say that not all guy's where the same, but I put my defences up and got protective of She-ra due to the odd behaviour of the majority.

There also did seem to be some guy's who, sorry if this offends.

Didn't seem quite right.

Lot's barely spoke any English.

It did seem to be full guy's who have zero ability to engage in conversation.

Also there should be alcohol control.

Some people clearly pissed up and some obviously drugged up.

Not the sort of place I will feel comfortable taking my wife to again.

I couldn't relax the whole time.

We have noticed that there seems to be a drop in dress codes.

The clubs say males must be smart. I may well be old fashioned but a zip up fleece, old t shirt, jeans and trainers isn't smart...

Even a shirt and jeans with shoes would be making some efforts...

Oh and one other thing... The amount of guys you see leaving the gents having not washed their hands... (All guys not just single guys)

In a dress up club I would wear black jeans / trousers and I mean smart jeans m, back shirt, full length with collar and shoes

Not saying that I wouldn't wear dark smart navy jeans a blazer type jacket and a clean smart white t shirt with shoes

Both look smart and would get me in to a number of clubs

In dress down i tend to wear dark coloured boxers unless on a party night then it's funny boxers

From our point of view, that is making an effort. I will wear smart jeans, shirt and shoes.

I'm talking about the guys that look like they have been to B&Q, done a few odd jobs then spent the afternoon in the pub and then gone on to a club...

So this whole idea of "there wouldn't be clubs without single men paying for them" argument doesn't seem to hold much water. But I'm sure the variety ofclubs have different business models.

clubs in the London area are more expensive and its the weekdays when the guy attendance makes the difference

So there aren't enough women or couples to support the business during the week, so instead its full of single guys, who are there to play with the couples and single women who aren't there in the first place! It all seems a bit Catch 22 to me.

Women get into adfabs for £ 10 but men have to pay anything up to £75 the Heathrow club is nearest to me I find that price difference ridiculous but hey maybe its just me

The maximum that men have to pay is £60 (as opposed to £10 for women) unless they are really, really, really ugly; then it could be £75

Agreed. There are far too many single males on bi nights at Chams now. Worse still was that the majority were desperadoes following the couples round like lost puppies. I chased three out of the couples room on separate occasions - despite the sign saying strictly couples only. It was so bad last time we decided that we wouldn't go again on a Monday. Hoping Chams management limit ita bit more as Monday's were great not so long ago

Erm, surely the *point* of bi night at Chams is for men to find other men to have sex with? If you start closing it off to male/female couples I shouldn't imagine it would really be much of a bi night anymore.

"We attended a club on Friday and had an amazing time. We found the single men to be courteous and appreciative of personal space. However we looked at reviews for last night and saw it sounded the complete opposite. This was weird for us to see such a stark contrast.

I use a club in Bournemouth, there is a core group of us there who enjoy watching, and taking part but we wait until asked, when the lady wants a break or less guys, we do ask asked. The club has had some bad write ups too but in all honesty, we are generally compliant to the ladies wishes though there are one or two who will always push the boundaries.

Well I am no expert in economics, let alone running a club. But if you take the Vanilla Alternative as an example, its open on a Friday and Saturday night i(plus special events, MILF club, festival, NYE etc.). On a Saturday there are no single men, so they aren't subsidising the club then. On a Friday men are allowed in, but the numbers are limited to 10, so its not packed with them.

Friday night prices: F £10, MF £35, M £40
