Ok so I was planning to go to V.A then I found out it was dress down, which I took to be naked or just in knickers or towel (towel doesnt feel sexy at all! ) after reading websites. So I've been looking at a whole host of other clubs for options but so many say dressing down....can someone please clarify what 'dressing down' actually means.

I was planning to go in a small a lace see through dress but with underwear underneath.....is that dressed up or dressed down?! I really don't want to go all that way to feel uncomfortable all night having to be naked or in just underwear. It's all very confusing! Where are all the 'nightclub' style clubs like Xtasia!? (Already been so want to try somewhere new).

Sexy undies are fine, i think its just to stop people walking around the play areas fully clothed which can be a bit off putting .

VA is dressed in the bar and social area and towel or robe to go into the play area.

Dressed as in party or regular club.

Just re-read your post.

The lace dress will be fine, but you will need to dress down for the play area.

Ok so dressing down means taking the dress off.....or underwear too to only towels or robes? Some people have msgd to say a see through dress with underwear is dressed down! Oh the headache! Haha

When I went it was dressed in the bar, so the lace dress would be fine, but I was told I had to change into a towel or robe to go into the play area.

I never understood why most clubs are dress down. Like most people have said here, I don't feel sexy just in a towel. Talking to a girl while she can see all of me is not good for my confidence. Haha. Can someone please enlighten me why clubs have a dress down policy.

We started by going to Cupids which is a dress down club and that's what we prefer. I wear boxers and my OH wears a basque and stockings, or a variety of lace or similar dresses etc.

The "why" is because it's a swingers club, we dont want you have to go back to the locker room to get changed before wandering off to play, although my OH may get changed between plays. Last night we were in Partners with quite a few couples. Everyone in the big jacuzzi there was naked except for one lady who started in a bikini and was topless when we left.

We feel most uncomfortable when we are dressed down but some of the other people are not. That's why we like it when a dress down rule is enforced. It is also hot to see ladies in lingerie etc.

+1 what DJ said

I do like the nightclub style clubs, but one issue I do have, is the guys are fucking with their trousers round their ankles and socks on, or they dump the trousers in a corner and when finished, they are looking around everywhere for loose change and shit that has fallen out of pockets. Nowt worse than a search party when others are still getting down and dirty.

Well said Purring. Well described off-putting experience. That's also why I'm not keen on parties unless they are in clubs(because they have lockers) ie the safety of the things in my trouser pockets!
