"I don't particularly like the idea, but I can completely understand why clubs do it. I stay away from anything that makes me feel like a commodity or bait though, e.g. sites that charge men but not women, and clubs. " I 100% agree and I really don't envy your plight. "Would you rather women paid the same rate & less went or paid less & more women went?" paid the same and less went. They are grossly outnumbered as it is. So the club should stay profitable and open. Your not looking at my arguement from a judicial aspect your looking at it from "the woman is more valuable in a swingers club aspect than a man"

"not all clubs charge ridiculous prices and memberships. I know of 3 in the Northwest that I've been to. The problems with clubs that charge so much, I've found that the guys expect to get sex, that they're entitled to it because they've paid so much to get in. They're the type of clubs where guys follow you, thinking they don't need to make an effort to socialise or even say hello. " disagree slightly... i would say if someone goes with the idea of "well i have paid my money" i don't it matters what the price of the club you got into was..... those people are going to stand out a mile regardless I think part of the problem is actually the "clubs" that aren't actually clubs feeding a perception that isnt true of most clubs.... that they are a brothel by another name!

" It's what I've experienced on many occasions, even to the extent of guys not taking no for an answer, unwanted groping, no matter how vocal I am, in insisting no. It got that bad, that I would only go with a friend, but now I am back to going on my own at the 3 clubs that don't over charge men and now I play with them, whereas I used to only chat to them. I really have noticed a huge difference.

My advice is VOTE WITH YOUR FEET. The women whose arses are being "pawned" in these clubs but don't see a dime, are to wake up! " being pawned? We are allowed to say no, you know! " I thought this was covered by private members' clubs legislation, so they can restrict or price on whatever basis they choose." It is and the law was changed in 2010. Now it is a very grey area of law in certain circumstances they cannot charge diferently based on sex but they can positively discriminate. This means for example if the owner charges less of femals to boost the female attendence it is positive discrimination and legal. If he/she charges men extra to discourage men attending it is negative discrimination and illegal.

"Right I know that the topic has been broached before. Costs into clubs are more expensive for single guys that's a fact. Single girls are admitted into clubs cheaper than their male EQUALS. This is in my eyes discrimination. Discrimination is defined as "the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of race, age or sex. So when I attend clubs I'm discriminated on due to my sex. Imagine an Irish black pensioner woman going to the cinema and being told your ticket in is more expensive than your White American male under 30s friend. The uproar would be crazy! Any views? " I am at a loss to understand why anyone is worried about discrimination. Most people go to sex clubs to satisfy their own selfish needs . A lot of single men prefer the prices to be high as it keeps the mix of men to ladies \ couples more even. Anyone believing the prices to be unfair is entitled to organise their own parties and ask those whom they see fit . No one is compelled to attend a se x club..

Only TOGETHER WITH A WOMAN. You find anything wrong with that, well opinions are indeed like noses - flat, pointed, upturned, long, crooked, .....

"I think it's been said before, but prices never drop only rise, so logic would say if you want equal prices everyone would need to pay £70 each for Abfab…… ladies would you pay £70? And couples would you pay £140 to get in? I thought Abfab did a not too publicised loyalty card. " they may do! I'll have to investigate!

"OK I have gone through this before but here goes, in the real world. Local club night attendance recently Single women 2 @ £10 = £20 Single men 20 @ £40 = £800 Couples(MF) 7 @ £30 = £210 Total nights revenue £1030 36 individuals attending So if each charged equally = 1030/36 = £28 lets call it £30 and throw in free soft drinks etc. Odds of the two single females attending 0.01% Odds of the seven couples attending 0.01% Interestingly this same club charges couples £60-70 on couples only nights so these numbers seem consistent No swing club in the UK I am aware of is run by a philanthropist or charitable foundation, they are all commercial enterprises. If they could make more money with a different pricing structure one of them would and the rest would soon follow. So basic economics dictates the current pricing structure. " dear lord I love you! You have put a mathematical solution to this! Great logic and well worked out. Brings me back to uni days do "statistical methods". They always said I'd need it!

Any views? " I think the men's entry fee to a club should be based on looks better looking in shape guys should get in cheaper ( supply and demand)

Single guys go there because they are bored with their mates or probably they have no mates. Single females go there because they are single and free to go anywhere they choose. Watch it!

"You'd rather less women went? Unfortunately it's a case of supply & demand. I think the price should be less than it is for single men but I can understand why they pay more. I went to Kestrels on a Saturday recently and there were about 5 men to every woman there." Yes swingers clubs operate as a business. As a business they operate basic of supply and demand. Which is understandable. And yes it it direct descrimination which is covered by law. And yes most single men who go clubs who pay expensive prices are Foolish if they go occasionally like every 3 or months that understandable. Unfortunately where there's is pussy and potential sex the common sense of a man is out of the door.

Also it not fact that single women or couples are less like to come because they are charged fairly Also for club to over charge single guys because they think it gonna reduce the number of single guys is a lame excuse. Restrictions of single guys is more common sense.

"I don't particularly like the idea, but I can completely understand why clubs do it. I stay away from anything that makes me feel like a commodity or bait though, e.g. sites that charge men but not women, and clubs. I 100% agree and I really don't envy your plight. Your followed around like a circus attraction (pardon the pun). But should I pay more for some simpletons lack of manners? Simple restriction policy 1 of each sex in But how would the restriction be managed - first come first served? Only the good looking blokes get in? If only 5 women turn up one night, does that mean there will only be 10 people in the place? It's not really a plight, tbh, I don't like the idea so just don't go. restriction is discrimination so you can't! I thought this was covered by private members' clubs legislation, so they can restrict or price on whatever basis they choose." it is.

" If they have loyalty scheme and restrictions of number of men they I believe they would make more money than their current. Imagine because about 8 or more single women would turn and 18 couples because and single men are capped at 15. Single women and couples would attend this club regularly because they feel comfortable because they pay less because of loyalty scheme and restrictions of the number of men.

Not this again!!!! Most charge £25-40 depending on day. I think for the service and facilities it's a fair price. I'm sick of reading of how single males are discriminated against. It's just the way of life. The girls always got more spins on the Waltzers - deal with it by thinking about it logically. I'd rather have a choice of clubs than to have them all close down because of equality. Rant over the price is not the argument the discrimination is! I don't see anyone inside complaining. I think most members (with brain cells) understand that the men subsidise the women. That's the only way a club like that can operate effectively " You have opinion the OP has opinion. No need to be condescending. If you have brain cells you would know it a debate not an attack on anyone

The OP should have searched for discrimination and commented on that instead of fanning the flames once more. Nothing will change. As most members have said, it's market forces. "Take a look out in the big bad world op, theres positive discrimination everywhere, go to a football match, or get on a bus, why should an older or younger person get to sit in the same seats for half the price, Clubs arent breaking any laws, they arent even charging men more, what they are doing is charging women less, you pay full price, women get a discount, Think about a supermarket, it has 2 different types of the same product, they both the same price, 1 sells all the time the other barely sells any, so it puts a special offer on and reduces the price to make it more attractive, its the same thing, theres more than enough men so they can charge full price, but they would like more women so they offer a discount, the simple answer is if you dont like it then dont go, no one is forcing you." Erm, everything you've said above is true. Very true. I have one issue though. Everything happening here is all what I call "intellectual masturbation" or if you like, mental acrobatics. The OP does not have a problem at all. The topic is not the OP's problem. Let's keep it impersonal please.
