clubs - where to start???

So i have never been to a club and i dont know anyone who has but i am super intrigued and would love to visit one very soon!

The problem is i dont think i have the balls to go on my own on my 1st visit, although i have quite willingly put myself in precarious situations in the past but nothing like these clubs.

How would i go about finding someone to join as its hard to get replies from fellow fabbers here to ask, any suggestions please...or should i man up n go on my own?

Thank you x

Hardest part is plucking up the courage to go through the door the rest is easy. Find one that will let you in on the night by doing your research and don't just turn up unannounced.

Ask for a tour when your there frequent the social area and relax and take it all in.

Its good advice - but "man up" still stands.

To anyone that's ever been to a club they will tell you it's no different than going to a pub you've not been to before. Only clubs are a lot friendlier.

If your that worried I'd re-evaluate what you think clubs are actually like. Look at the revue section and threads on here. They are great places.

What exactly do you imagine happens in a swing club

Your biggest problem is likely to be boredom. Most guys go, lurk and are ignored. Just go, make eye contact and smile, if it is returned say hello and if your lucky conversation will flow.

I agree with the other posts , but it is a daunting experience 1st time round but everybody is their to enjoy themselves some choose to play some just socialize

There is an event on this sat @ Swindon swingers and I think there will be lots of single guys & couples going so it won't be so daunting pop along have a drink & chat to others but don't follow couples round ( stalking them ) just be yourself

Do your research, read about the different clubs go on a night that suits you, don't have any expectation to play and be sociable and remember if your looking to play with a couple it's just as important that the male is comfortable with you.

Newcastle and Gateshead

what are expecting a club to be like.....

whatever that perception in your head that makes you worry.... take it and put it in the bin...

you can't be nervous if you go into a situation with an open mind and no expectations.....

the hardest bit is walking thru the door... anything after that is gravy!

As above Make an effort to be friendly and chatty but also give people space - especially if you've been nervously talking to them for a while. Relax in the social areas and spa facilities if they have any. Take a wander round the open play rooms but be respectful and don't lurk or leech.

It's not as scary as you think it will be.

Thanks people. ..all great pointers. Im not really that nervous and i am confident..like someone has already said though, that i imagine as soon as im in i will be fine.

Of course i would be respectful...i aint a freak to leark in a corner lol. I just imagine clicky groups or something along those lines abd for me to be "the newbie in the club" lol

You have some good verifications so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting into a club.

There will be people who know each other but every time we go there are about 80% we've never seen before!

And that's the best bit - you get to talk to new people!!

Not many go every night every week - some go once a month, some once a year, so you're in the same boat as most.

Be nice and treat it as a giggle, be respectful and you'll be fine.

Could you not arrange a meet with a female fabber who.."only meets in clubs"? That way you arrive with someone already

there are many newbies that go to a club when there is a fab social or other party that are of interest to you, its a great way to dip your toes, have a look at what clubs are near to you, and keep an eye in the club events thread and put your name down

Also try asking previous meets if they would like to go with you if you don't want to go on own.

You say your confident so your hardly be a lemon if you are friendly and approachable

I always advice newbies to treat there first club visit as a social, with no expectations of sex
