People openly play in the Jacuzzis. The chlorine added to the Jacuzzi will sting your eyes though. Have fun. Xx

It's just another jacuzzi, it's not for any particular groups of people.

jacuzzi is an open play area but that does not mean you have to play with people, if you are playing and people join in you have the rights to say no, don't feel obligated to play because it's a public area

Chameleons is the only club that allows play in the jacuzzi area that I know of

I know of several other clubs that allow open play in there jacuzzi areas.. I thought it was the norm to be honest

Most we've been to don't allow play, mainly down to the size of the tub and the filtration systems ability to remove.....stuff

I have to note that all the Jacuzzis that don't allow play tend to be fibre glass tubs with 6-8 person capacity, concrete/sunken Jacuzzis are usually play areas, that seems to be the trend more than law

I went to chams for the first time recently and the chlorine was overwhelming to be honest.

Didn't bother me though as i didn't go in on this occasion. just played in another area.

I agree with the chlorine issue at Chams, I struggle sometimes in there. I have to try and ensure no water goes near my face as my eyes start smarting.

Good quality chlorine does not have much of an odor. That chlorine smell that you associate with chlorine happens when chlorine combines with organic junk, oils, sweat, urine, etc. A clean pool will smell clean. When you scoop up some pool water in your hands and smell it, it should smell like fresh, clean water.

If you can smell the “chlorine odor” it means there is not enough good, available chlorine to keep the water safe. That odor you associate with chlorine is actually coming from chloramines, which is used up chlorine

I was told something similar by Mark, the sting and chlorine smell, Is caused by the reaction with deodorant and perfumes people wear, hence why it's important to shower before going into the jacuzzi. It changes the water PH levels which is what causes the sting

I wondered about what caused the chlorine problem too as one night after being in the jacuzzi and stinging my eyes once got home I had to sleep with wet cotton pads on my eyes and keep swilling them with water hence didn't really get any sleep that night

Otherwise besides that I had a fab time in the jacuzzi. As already stated if you want to play then do so if not just say no,
