"I know a lot of clubs that have a dress down policy. At Townhouse people can wear what they want when they want to downstairs in all of our social areas (bar, lounge, dancefloor, wet area etc...) If people want to go upstairs to our paly areas after 11pm, then we ask people to dress down. The reason we do this is because in our play areas, everyone is on a level playing field. There is nothing worse than getting all sexy in your skimpies in a playroom and there's somebody watching at the doorway in the coat!! It's so seedy! So our dressdown is a little different as it is only requested in our play areas, which are completely separate to our social areas; down there, people dress down whenever they want. That's our take on it anyway! lol xx" . I get this for play rooms, it makes perfect sense. I guess I'm not too sure of my thoughts on it in the bar area etc. If it was your first club experience I think it could be a bit daunting.

"Is it commonplace to have an enforced dress down time in a club? I've noticed that No. 3 say dress down is at 10:30pm. Have been to a few other clubs and never been told I HAVE to dress down, I just wondered what the thinking is behind it. Mrs Storm x" I don't like clubs that are dress down as you walk through the door. I went to one club in the afternoon that was fairly dead. A few locals had popped in and wear eating their lunch at the bar and were having a bit of a social. Weird as we were all forced to dress down for it. A cut off time of 1030 or compulsory dress down in play areas makes sense. It's nice to stay dressed in the bar area though. I always think it adds to he flirting and anticipation. I like seeing everyone dressed smartly and mingling.

"I know Amour and Isis Quest are full dress down clubs throughout regardless of time" Isis isn't! You can't go through to the play areas clothed... But you can wear whatever you like through the rest of the club.

Mrs Storm x" Some Clubs are dress down on entry, some Clubs have a dress down time, others require you to be dressed down in certain areas and other Clubs don't have a dress down policy. There is merit in all of the options and you just need to choose what suits you. By the way, you don't have to wait until 10.30pm to dress down you can dress down when you enter if you want to.. We normally do.

"The situation at Chameleons seems to be self regulatory. The guys strutting their stuff in boxers look plain silly. A towel worn round the waist at least gives some intention of intent. Most of the ladies tend to be a little more creative Saturday night couples-night can be a little daunting for the more mature lady as there is a definite competitive edge to some of the youngsters outfits. Chameleons is a straight forward swingers club and does not pretend to be otherwise so why cover up?" This has to be a joke post? I can't believe there are many women out there who would rather see guys walking around wrapped in a towel rather than a fashionable pair of pants. Since when did the "towel look" have appeal? Maybe David Beckhham should do a "towel shoot". We love Chameleons but for Mrs H, the towel look is a downer. She would much rather see a guy in anything - other than a towel!
