Perfect single guy etiquette

Hey

So recently been encouraged to attend a club by a few different women. Before i go was wondering what do people feel should be the etiquette shown by a single male?

I know the basics of don't stare, follow, hide in corner but are there any subtle ones which turn you into a more welcome participant

Don't expect to play. Then if you do it'll be a nice surprise!

we like it in the bar area at Chams if a guy comes and says hi, too many don't. Basics lie smiling and conversation are attractive traits. Good luck OP

Be confident, and understand people are NOT there to be nasty or aloof. Be yourself. Thinking aloud, when you arrive and are paying etc, if there are people arriving at same time say hi - we played with a guy last time we went who we spoke to on arrival, good ice breaker. cheers

As others have said you need to chat to folks, everything else follows. It is sad the amount of guys that think just being there at the right time will get them invited to play!

So saying hello in the changing room, chatting at the bar or in the hot tub all break the ice.

As a couple we are there to play the same way you are. x

Probably a stupid question - no clubs here

How much is it in for males

Work out clubs of interest to you, go to the Clubs tab and visit their websites and check prices and/or email clubs for more info

We don't play with guys but one thing that's starting to bug me about a club we go to is being followed, particularly in to the sauna where it's a small space anyway and not saying hello. I'd say hi when walking into one in a gym but not in a club? I would definitely echo the other comments, just common courtesy goes a long way, makes me feel like less of a performing seal.

My advice would be for your first club visit either arrange to meet people there in advance or go as a couple ~ I think you'd have a much more positive experience which you could use when you go the time after on your own.

Manchester Area

"talk to people... and i mean talk to people, not just a female half of a couple you may be interested in...."

From a female point of view..... four things which have happened on the last 3 visits

Single guy nearby...waits till my fella went to changing room... suddenly starts to try and engage me in conversation... my guy comes back and he does one

While standing at the bar... single guys who come up to within an inch of you almost rubbing up against you... and no the bar area WASNT crowded

Stood talking to someone and the d*unken male half of a couple nearby tried to put the lips on me.... dont think he was expecting the "sac-tap" in return

Whilst playing in an open area, one did the "standard operating procedure" of choking his chicken whilst edging closer and closer to me ..... the shake of the head wasn`t acted upon but being loudly told to go forth and multiply had the desired effect

Tbh this is enough to put me off going... Its that kind of behaviour which has put me off clubs as its the opposite of fun and sexy

Simply put OP don't make these mistakes yourself, the people that behave ;like that get nowhere as the lady points out, seriously just go and see how you get on.

Make eye contact, smile, then man up and make an approach - even if it's to the husband while he is at the bar or something. Just need to be fairly casual but relatively low be identified about it. But if it doesn't work in a vanilla bar in town on a sat night, it won't work in a club!!!

If a couple is there on a night single guys are allowed, we're not stupid, we do our research, we are interested in a single guy to join us.

Well done you for asking the advice, too many single guys give all us guys a bad name. Enjoy it, the sexually charged atmosphere is amazing. You won't be everyone's cup of tea obviously so chat with a few people just be social. But one thing i can say as a bit of advice to a fellow guy - the good guys always get snapped up

Just be chatty and relax in the social areas. We always check people out in this area and go and talk to people we want to play with. Win over the social side and the rest will follow.

Don't be put off. You appear to be a considerate man who cares about how he comes across, that will stand you in good stead. The North West clubs are very friendly, perhaps look at the reviews in the forums and then just bite the bullet. You'll be fine

I can't quote all the replies but thanks. You have certainly helped. I think as you have all said it's a case of stop wondering and bite the bullet... I'll either like it or not but either way I'll know...

Now to review the clubs and pick the one which seems to be the most suited...

Well we have been only to Chameleons but if you go there, once inside and changed get yourself a coffee and spend some time in the bar area. Great place to meet people. Oh ask for a LARGE towel on arrival cos on most guys the standard one is a little small!
