There seem to be quite a few new campers going to Swingfields so I thought a thread of tips from the more experienced could be handy.

My tip - don't forget washing up stuff, some washing up liquid and a tea towel and possibly a bowl. You may be planning to eat from the stalls but you'll probably still be eating cereal or making tea and yesterday's leftovers don't make for a nice cuppa!

I always throw a few clothes pegs in too to peg my tea towel and bath towel (don't forget that either) to either the guy lines on a sunny day or inside the tent so they dry between uses.

Clothes pegs can also find alternative uses according to my friends in the fet world

Extra bedding - even if it's glorious during the day nights can be cold. And take a blanket to put under your airbed to stop the cold rising. I get foil emergency blankets from poundland and put those and a picnic blanket under mine.

Or just find lots of new friends to share body heat with
