I'd love to give this a try when we go next week. I (Her) am clumsy at the best of times. I'm worried about getting on / in to the thing without ending up a heap on the floor or into a tangle with any straps

If any one has used it and has some advice on avoiding those things it would be appreciated

The technique that works for us is to first of all adjust it to the right height.

Then get the person getting in to it to stand with it against the back of their legs/bum.

Your helper then stands in front of you and reaches past you to grab the support straps and pulls it towards you.

You reach up and back to grab the bit where all the straps join together, pull up and hop on as the seat slides under you.

Lay back whilst holding on to straps until they have got your legs in to the leg hoops.

Haha don't do what I did, jumped to sit on the seat and went flying over the back of it . Worse bit was that I caught my finger in the strapping and broke it

Try explaining that in A & E lol

There used to be a guide as to how to use it on the wall. It's disappeared so you're left to your own devices.

Oh no. I guess at least you're laughing about it now. My visions were just being an inelegant heap on the floor x

When climbing walls etc as a lad, my friends would give me a "bunk up".

We have tried the swing a few times but I always get the giggles. I just feel so daft and far from elegant trying to get comfy.

But last time we got past my hysterics and had a great time.

Maybe I will try to stay more serious tomorrow!

Mmm, I hadn't factored in the likelihood of a fit of giggles. I'm beginning to think it's going to be like a scene out of a carry on film. Have fun tomorrow x

Last time I was in the swing room with 3 young ladies - two of whom were on their first visit - one of them climbed into the swing and was just using it as if she was in a kid s playground
