I'm wanting to visit a club but I'm a little nervous about it. Any tips on overcoming first time nerves? I live in Manchester which club would you advise? Thanks x

I think most people are nervous the first time they visit a club, so it's pretty natural.

There are a few clubs in Manchester to choose fro, so guess first thing would be to see where they are, what events they have on ( you might want to miss an even night if you don't want to be at a club thats very busy for you first time ).

Then call the club and let them know you'll be on your own.. any club worth its salt will look after you and even introduce to people so you're not nobby no mates all night

The question is are you going alone or as couple (friend). If alone then call the club in advance and tell them - Most clubs around Manchester will then look after you and show you around.

Depending on what you are looking for in a club (for example large wet area) you make your choice. We have been to Cupids and Partners and I (f) been alone to Partners was well looked after and enjoyed myself on a couples/girls night... But as said there are loads of clubs in and around Manchester...

There is partners, cupids, amour and adam and eve. Adam and Eves is more single man friendly, other clubs have single man limits and couples only nights.

Again it's a question of are you going single or as a couple

Thanks I think I may go alone and just brazen it out. It feels a little more daring that way. AMOUR is closer to me so I may try there.

In on the bar at Partners on Thursday and Saturday night... I can show you around and introduce you....

It's best to give the club you're attending a quick call and as soon as you arrive I guarantee you'll be looked after ...

I like Partners (have been with a lady a few times and we were made very welcome, so i am sure a lady alone would be ).

Or find a club buddy who has been before to go with ..

A club not so many miles away

I often go with a female friend of mine so if there isn't a lot happening you have someone to socialise with as well. I have met some of my best (female) friends in clubs; and had a cracking good time along the way.

You could also consider one of the club's that run couples and single ladies evenings.

Allowing you to visit the club in an environment that doesn't have single men for your first explorer visit.

I am sure both Amour and Cupids run these during the week and both in my opinion are great clubs and very friendly.

But find a club that is running an evening that appeals to you.

As all the NW clubs offer different things for different people.

And as mentioned above, let the club know when you arrive and they will be on the lookout for you even more for your first visit.

And wherever you end up going?

Just remember...

Do only what you want to and feel comfortable doing.

If that is sitting at the bar all evening. Then so be it.

Have fun and enjoy.

If you choose a guy or lady to go with make sure they know that there is NO guarantee of playing (either with you or others - unless you want to).

The first time I went to a club, was an Nye social and I went alone!

I found chatting to a few folk online that said they would be attending gave me 'faces'to look for and points of conversation.

Brazen it out. .. no means no and just enjoy it with no pressure x
