upmarket clubs please

Hi swingers

I've just left the attic, it was my first visit, the staff are friendly but I'm very disappointed.

It was empty ...4 rather seedy men and a woman who looked as though she didn't want to be there. i feel sorry for her.

Can anyone recommend a more up market club with decent music and plenty of people in attendance at a weekend in the Midlands.

I've been to Derby numerous times as my ex is there, but he was vanilla so it's somewhere I didn't go.

Although I may be heading to Birmingham at the end of May so if there's a good club nearby I'd like to know

Liberty Elite is lovely and well worth the money from a couples perspective, but not sure about singles, think they are limited

Vanilla alternative or liberty elite. Both limit single men on the nights that they're allowed to attend, but other clubs we've been to just don't compare where classy is concerned

We were regular clubgoers but over the last couple of years have noticed more and more of what you describe, not sure why. Rarely go now and always disappointed when we do. The clientele has changed over that time, far more "undesirables" than there used to be.

I don't give a flying fuck if people think I'm a snob but I want to be able to have an intelligent conversation as well as play. I want to chat to someone who is articulate, well read, informed and has a similar sense of humour to me. I don't want a blank stare when I talk about anything other than wot I wotched on the telly last night.

I tend to stick to parties now, invites from people I know are on the same wavelength as me. Not happy to pay £20 to watch a bunch of very unattractive large women burst out of their ill fitting cheapo Ann summers corsets while some chav with dirty fingernails, tattooed with love and hate wanks his horrid knob over her.

As a regular Friday night visitor to The Vanilla Alternative, just outside Bedford, I can confirm that it is a nice, family run, upmarket club with some wonderful visitors. The massive hot tub and 12 on-site hotel rooms attracts people from all over the country. Single guy numbers are limited and booking is essential. Had some really good fun there last night!

It is unfortunate that you are now going to get some stick for posting what is your opinion and you have a right to your opinion just as much as those who will be along to condemn you for having one.

The interesting thing is that you are highlighting traits in people that can be changed. Obesity is forecast to virtually bankrupt the NHS in the next ten years. It is dangerous and unhealthy to be obese and EVERYONE knows this. Dirty fingernails, unkempt hair and disgusting teeth are all things that people can do something about.

Well done for highlighting these things, though I suspect that you (and probably I now) will get some stick for daring to mention the unmentionable.

As to the OP. Try Xtasia. They have huge party events and the music and buzz is fantastic.

Xtasia good but hardly upmarket. Particularly late at night when the kebab shop staff and taxi drivers turn up in the club. That said xtasia is very well appointed and has great variety.

If you want upmarket you really need to be willing to pay the high charges that some of the more exclusive venues and groups charge. Be prepared to be vetted on looks, age, income and bloodline though.

Yep, realise that and that's why I'm not bothering with clubs anymore. The ones I would like to join won't have me as a member because of my age and tbh a bunch of 20 something Sloanes are not the sort of people I want to socialise with anyway

i believe the 'cheapo ann summers corsets' comment may have come across as a dig about financial status. Besides if you knew anything about being a 'very unattractive large woman' you'd know that we have to spend a small fortune on underwear etc. As for paying to watch 'us' if all you have to do when you go to a club is look out for people you don't like then you can't be having a very good time. I hope you have lots of fun in your slim, attractive ivory tower

I love the fact that the club I go to has a real mixture of people that attend. . Young, old, larger, slimmer and everything in between ..I personally tend to chat with people that look friendly and approachable regardless of how they look ... Once chatting (and it doesn't take long to suss out if they can hold the type of conversation I'm looking for ) I'll decide whether to politely say hope you have fun or drag them to the nearest play room !!!..

Try not to write a club off after only one visit. I've heard some good things about the attic, next time try a themed night, check out events etc etc. You might be pleasantly surprised if you do some research into events beforehand.

Chams is great - but 'upmarket' is a stretch. Liberty Elite is classier but you have to pick your night, whereas Chams always seems fairly busy

Try not to write a club off after only one visit. I've heard some good things about the attic, next time try a themed night, check out events etc etc. You might be pleasantly surprised if you do some research into events beforehand. "

The attic is one of my local clubs that i attend on a regular basis, tonight is a themed night so likely to be busy, i would advise you try the club again on a themed night where it gets busier x

Some great clubs mentioned. I guess it is the kind of person you are as to what will feel classy to you.

Just bear in mind the attitude of the people inside. If you have people that are rude and obnoxious then that will make the club less appealing and spoil a night out.

We all take responsibility for ourselves and how we come across. Club owners work hard to make things right and one persons class is someone else's rubbish.

I add to the VA cheer as upmarket and also add Le Boudoir in London to that list (yes I know it's not Midlands ) but the decor was great and a lovely classy feel xx

Perfectly put. We tried another Midlands club and if felt like a working mens club rather than a swingers club. We stayed for 5 minutes.

VA is our favourite but lib's is closer

I've just left the attic, it was my first visit, the staff are friendly but I'm very disappointed.

It was empty ...4 rather seedy men and a woman who looked as though she didn't want to be there. i feel sorry for her.

Can anyone recommend a more up market club with decent music and plenty of people in attendance at a weekend in the Midlands.

Try not to write a club off after only one visit. I've heard some good things about the attic, next time try a themed night, check out events etc etc. You might be pleasantly surprised if you do some research into events beforehand. "
I was thinking that and the Friday after greedy girls is always quiet... Plus with Saturday being a regulars birthday most would have been going then.

As for upmarket clubs... All we have been to have had a mixed bag. But all but one which I won't name were great..

We have been to plenty of clubs where its just a couple of older gentleman and not much else. Even chams in the day before... But for us its about the social side too.

Don't get why people can't get their points across without insulting others. I'm sure though that the poster didn't mean to insult those with spelling issues.

But if you put something like you did your going to offend people... One because you put overweight and unattractive together and then put about Ann summers being cheap... And sorry but at 60quid a set I wouldn't call that cheap for the average person..

You said later on that you do not go to clubs because you found it not for you... That was all that needed saying

To op you can have the nicest surroundings ever with the most horrible people... Its about who is in on the night.

We go to clubs all over and sometimes meet great people other times there is no one for us x

I have been to many clubs, some I would describe as 'basic' and some I consider better. But here's the thing: I can't advise others as to whether or not I think they should go. I might have been unlucky, I might have gone on the wrong night, I might just be a fussy bitch. The only way to decide whether a club is worth going to is to actually visit it, preferably when there is a party night or event night, to see what its really like.

And even then, even if you visit the best, poshest, cleanest, nicest club, with a selection of people you would walk over broken glass to meet, you are still not guaranteed a shag. Best just to treat these venues as a decent night out and chalk it up to experience if its nit what you enjoy.

Because I am someone who: (a) believes that beauty is in the eye of the beholder; (b) that character is important; (c) likes the larger lady especially those threatening to burst out or are bursting out of the outfits; (d) can't afford and has no interest in decadent luxery; and (e) do not see being able to afford decadent luxery as an important character trait (although Kim Kardashian might) - I would just like to say please feel free to contact me if you are one of boobyicious 15's female undesirables, lol!

I'm either losing my marbles or its a new addition as not been in the last few months.. but can't think of any beds at the attic that have throws or covers on.. And have always found it one of the cleanest clubs we have been too.. and we go all over.

We at Jaydees are in between Cambridge and Bedford we consider our place to be classy but different as it is a mixture of old and new and interesting, When people visit us they always say that the pictures on our website do not do us justice. Well I'm sure your friend was sincere in there report but I've seen how clean the attic is... And I have high standards too and although we go to other clubs mostly now it's nothing to do with the cleanliness of the club.

Only way there would be any mess like that is if someone left it like that and never told anyone.

I've experienced that even at chams but a quick mention to the staff and all sorted.

Oh and as for the stains on covers. The attic has no covers on the beds.

Okay maybe I remembered it wrong, I was in a hurry to leave lol. I definitely looked at one of the beds and thought I wouldn't sit on it fully clothed let alone naked. It must have been the bed itself then.

I appreciate toilet mishaps happen and can be cleaned but it all leaves an impression, and if it's a first impression it's unlikely you'd go back.

I can tell you now that all the Beds have been replaced in the last year...

Until recently we went several times a month if not more often.. And I can hand on heart say never seen stains...

It has cleaning products in every room for after play. And the staff check the rooms throughout the night.

I'm sure someone that has been more recently can tell me if standards have slipped in the last 3 months but over the last 18months or so previous we have never found fault. And trust me we are happy to complain.

And the attic are very quick to address any customer concerns.

Even on a quiet night there is normally a good mix. Although it is very busy on Saturday's now x

It was nearly a year ago, however this is pointless, i was just saying what our impression was, i don't want to argue about it.

The club isn't for us and the clientele aren't for us. I'm sure most people there are lovely but we haven't had great experiences or conversations with people frequenting the place so doubt we'll change our minds, however we're happy for anyone who is enjoying it. We're all different, and there's something for everyone luckily.

I'm not even sure upmarket and swingers club comes into the same sentence really.

We go all over.. And Mark each club by its merits..

We wouldn't tolerate dirty.. nor do we tolerate low standards.. we like a mix of people and have only really found one club that isn't really to our liking ... Although we have worked out we prefer clubs that don't have the night club atmosphere

There is a club out there for everyone but every club is only as good as the people there..And only as good as you make it

If you sit there and don't go talk to people then your not going to have a good night.

We have met such a wide variety of people across the years in various clubs. And it says something when you would defend a club even though you won't visit it personally. The attic isn't the Ritz but it's clean and friendly and normally full of a variety of people..

I recently went to a 'up market' club on my own and found it to be most unwelcoming. I know I'm not a model or anything but I can more than hold my own with the 'intellectuals' . It appears because of my lumps and bumps and my lack of unnatural body parts (hair, nails, teeth, blobs etc) I wasn't what they wanted to even speak to.

Phukt nights are sensational. We always book both nights when they do a double header. The end of May event is looking pretty spectacular.

Posh,.. Ok maybe not. But where else can you dance to awesome music either naked, or in clothes that are meant for fantasy situations?

Not looking to wish life away, but roll on end of May. Oh... Hang on, just remembered we got the free night early May as well.

"We were regular clubgoers but over the last couple of years have noticed more and more of what you describe, not sure why. Rarely go now and always disappointed when we do. The clientele has changed over that time, far more "undesirables" than there used to be.

I don't give a flying fuck if people think I'm a snob but I want to be able to have an intelligent conversation as well as play. I want to chat to someone who is articulate, well read, informed and has a similar sense of humour to me. I don't want a blank stare when I talk about anything other than wot I wotched on the telly last night.

I tend to stick to parties now, invites from people I know are on the same wavelength as me. Not happy to pay £20 to watch a bunch of very unattractive large women burst out of their ill fitting cheapo Ann summers corsets while some chav with dirty fingernails, tattooed with love and hate wanks his horrid knob over her. "

It must be wonderful to be slim and gorgeous but unfortunately a lot of us aren't, but then again I'd rather be fat and unattractive than slim and up my own arse !!!

Xtasia is the place to be. Like a night club when u walk in with added bonuses!! Plenty of play rooms, jacuzzi, cinema room, dark room,dungeon.Lots of things to do there . We are heading there on the 1st may as its FFFF event

I'm not saying take the reviews as the word of God. Obviously a little common sense is required, but they must be a good marker to some degree?

It is common knowledge that the Midlands has probably the two best Clubs in the UK. The reviews on here are testament to that.

Be a little cynical by all means, but too much cynicism will blind you.

There are at least TWO fabulous weekends coming up at Xtasia.

First weekend in May is the FREE Friday event and last time it was packed out and buzzing. The music was fantastic and it was a great night. Following day Saturday is a foam party!

Last weekend of May is the Phukt two nighter. Top DJ's incredible lighting and effects and a venue packed full of the beautiful, the sexy and the wonderful.

Where else in the UK can you dance to top tunes in clothing that would see you arrested if you wore it anywhere else?
