The Daily Mail are reporting the Tudor Lounge Birmingham was targeted by masked robbers last night with guests forced out onto the street! Not good is it? Anyone confirm or deny?

Nr Manchester

Just googled this. It was Wednesday evening but unfortunately adds to public concerns some of which qualifies as "moral panic" . One could understand if residents are having parking problems but eg vicinity to schools has to be something of a red herring.

birmingham

Not just the Daily Mail but all the local papers too...

The club is reported to be on dodgy ground. It has temporary planning permission to be a Private Members Club with a capacity of 50 people according to the Birmingham Mail, and yet it frequently breaks these Planning restrictions. You can guess what's coming when the temporary planning permission comes up for renewal can't you?

Fareham

There was also mention of the club attracting 'kerb crawlers' which frightened local young females and of clients 'carrying on' outside the club... both of which are more than likely utter BS.

The stuff about people worrying that their daughters are going to be propositioned and stuff is obviously crap....but I do agree that clubs shouldn't be in residential areas. Things like impact on parking, taxis pulling up all night etc can be really irritating if they're right next to your house.
