I attended this club last night for the launch night of "climax parties" but the only thing going on was a huge anti climax finding the club once again to be very disappointing.

Arousals is a large club but it never seems to be busy. last nights party was not that well balanced, I done a head count and there was eightteen men to six or seven women. Unfortunately, there was not much interaction between people which led it being a bit of a wasted night, you could of found more atmosphere on the moon than in that building.

For a well established club, Arousals seems to get very poor turn out. Sadly I don't think the club is at fault as it's very clean and offers a lot of options with a nightclub type of feel. but where are the people? This place could be buzzing but something isn't working, I'm sure there's more life in the local mortuary than in that club.

I was at arousals last night and for you to say what you have is wrong.

I attend arousals regularly for bmfc and climax adult parties last night and its never empty in fact its always rammed with people.

As for interaction at the party last night everyone was talking . A party is what you make it if you go to a party with the right attitude then your night will be a success . I personally had a great time last night the music was off the hook so what if it was a little bit quiet thats a bonus to me as i got to make full use of the playrooms.

Hi King Louie

I'm so glad you've put this in the forums as well as the review section so thank you, as I do feel that I need to respond and don't like to do that on the club reviews!

We aren't going to lie and make out it was something it's not. There were in fact 33 people that came during the night. We had close to 100 people on our guest list, 94 people in fact! We have always been honest about this and we were truly expecting an amazing night. We put a massive amount of effort in the 6 weeks previous to our party to promote it and make it the best it possibly can be in an amazing club, one of our favourites as guests!

We don't quite understand why so many people didn't show. We had a few cancel, which we do appreciate being kept informed. Babysitters letting people down, a car crash and illness - none of this can be helped. However, the others that didn't attend or keep us informed I cannot speak for! Unfortunately party organisers can never be certain who is going to show up when they put their names down to come along.

You said that there was an imbalance of numbers.. We have a ratio that we work to, but as I have said above the "no-shows" messed this ratio up causing the imbalance.

The majority of people on the night were new to the club or didn't know others. However, those that DID have fun made it happen themselves. You have to put in the effort to reap the awards. I don't think your "avoid" review was fair, giving that you didn't speak to me on the night voicing your concern. In fact, I can't recall if I spoke to you at all during the night, as I'm unsure who you are from your pictures.

Apologies if you were one of the clever people who took time to interact with other guests. Sometimes people just don't click. Also, I'm sure you can appreciate that the people who were there went for the Under 35s night. Maybe the fact that you weren't under 35 meant that you didn't float peoples boat!?

Anyway.. We're looking forward to the next event next month! Parties don't get good reputation over night, they have to build up a "fan base" and following. The majority of those who we have spoke to are coming back again, and also bringing others with them too! That's the right attitude to have if you want something to work, especially as somebody who has implied they want Arousals to be successful. By organising parties there, we are TRYING to get more people there! Leaving an avoid review like you have is not going to put people off OUR parties, but off the venue in general, which isn't fair. Like you have said, the venue is great! So maybe we should all concentrate on promoting the venue for what it is than leaving unnecessary avoid reviews.

I'm expecting that unfortunately we won't see you again, but take care and thanks for coming along and giving us a try anyway!

Tasha & Kyle

There's no point in sugar coating anything I suppose. We tried, and will continue to work hard to make it work. Those that know us know that we don't give up easy, lol! Plus we have the best mentors around, other party organisers and plenty of advice from 3 venue owners too. We are grateful for all feedback given to us. Plus it may help spread the word about us hehe - all publicity is good publicity (I think!)

Thank you for your supportive words.

Very well worded and a fantastic response from Climax Parties.

With so many events at so many clubs, it is a great deal of hard work to build up a positive reputation and hosts walk into the unknown when trying to get named events off the ground.

I appreciate the hard work that goes into organising any event, the hours spent at a computer publicicing your event, sending out mails to ppl only to get deleted without being read. Or as said before, a full guest list but last minute cancellations for whatever unfortunate reason.

All hosts can do is make you feel welcome, put you at ease and the rest is up to the individual surely!

Hosts arent there to make play happen.

Make yourself known, talk to ppl, smile and be happy and the rest should follow, but if you just sit and EXPECT ppl to fall at your knees, im sure the opposite will occur.

I wish you guys every success with your Climax Parties

Hope I haven't come across as too critical, but after a number of visits, Arousal never seems very busy compared to other clubs for some mysterious reason, although I do not attend BMFC nights.

Maybe it still suffers from the fact that until quite recently, smoking was still permitted in the venue which may of put a lot of people off going? it's a shame as it's a very good club.

With such a professional attitude with replying, the team behind Climax parties has won my total respect and I wish you all the best. Organising any event is not easy and I hope it becomes successful for you.

When a club responds so well (And not defensively aggressive) to criticism, that should tell you something about the commitment and the manner of the people running it. I think you gave them the chance to do so as your review was also constructive and not vindictive, this is the kind of thing which helps clubs to improve and in the long run enables everyone to have a better experience.

I suggest you give it another try.

Thanks very much to King-Louie and everyone else for the kind, supportive words.

We admire every other organiser / club for what they do. We have done organising and hosting in the past, but the parties have already had the following, making it easier to organise and host. Starting off from scratch isn't as easy as we thought, which we aren't ashamed to say.

But hey, we've had so much support and interest because of this so we can't wait. We already have people who were there on Saturday who have booked in for next month. Let's make it bigger and better in April

T&K x

Well done to Climax Parties for their well worded response. It’s professional & respectful just what you would expect from people whose aim is to put on a great party. We club owners know that there is only so much that we & party hosts can do towards a successful party, good clean venue, variety of play areas, good facilities, a range of music & lighting along with the knowledge that we have put in the time, the effort needed to bring together a selection of like minded people under one roof. The rest really is down to the individual from appearance & personality to be able to hold a reasonable conversation. For most of us life is not handed to us on a plate you need to work at it, the more effort you put in the better the rewards, it’s a similar format for an enjoyable night out. I know Climax Parties have the passion & drive to put together quality parties for quality people and I look forward to working alongside them.

Aww thanks so much! Was lovely meeting you. You'll see some familiar faces as 90% of those there on Saturday have already booked in for the 11th too!

Don't forget to spread the word and send them to our profile hehe x

I admire the response from the club that clearly said they didn't have the numbers they expected, but I'm puzzled by your defence of the club BEFORE their response and in particular your comment that "it's always rammed with people". Were you at a different club on a different night or just blindly defending a club you like?

We have been going to this club on & off for the last 14yrs and it still remains our favourite club to go to, we can't go as often as we would like to now as both work in full time demanding jobs.

We have been when it has been quiet but can honestly say we have still had fun, in fact I have been responsible for getting it started

You get out what you put in, for us fetish night is our fave, have not been to a BMFC night as yet but we have been to many different nights and all of them different.

We can't figure why it is not as busy as it used to be but if people don't make the effort to go & have fun then it will be quieter.

We always stay at the Holiday Inn Express and then get a taxi to the venue. If you book far enough in advance you can get a very good deal. Previously we always used to stay at The Kitts Inn but alas no longer there.

The club is great, the staff are fantastic and there are more than enough rooms to play in. For those who don't smoke it is no longer a problem as that is all now outside.

Sharon will always listen to ways to improve the venue so just drop her a message and give her your ideas. A sat night for us is always easier, although we have been known to book a Friday off work to attend.

A greedy girl night tends to be on a Friday but I always manage to get plenty of guys willing to have fun on any night lol

So cum and make a difference by attending and making every party night you can attend a great one be daring like me and start off the fun.

Tash and Kyle amazing job! It's such hard work and you were gracious, professional and real!

Climax parties...just the beginning! Roll on the 11th! We are already booked ????

I think the problem arousals has is that modern swingers want something similar to eyes wide shut or contemporary decore, suave surroundings, not somewhere hidden up an alley decorated like a haunted house/working mens club. The good thing about the place is the local hotels are cheap as chips! Go on a busy night, BMFC for instance and you won't be disappointed. But i wouldn't take a risk as a single guy.

This problem isn't unique to arousals, i remember going to hellfire and feeling distinctly unnerved being watched going into the club by the local mechanics.. Where's the country estate?! Fedelio?
