I couldn't say if it's a good move or not but apart from BGHS and the new club thats opening in Brighton soon there isn't anything nearby.

Hhhmmm BGHS.... Have to admit i,ve not been. Though the mixed feed back i,ve been getting does,nt excactly inspire me to go either.

This with being even on my door step.

It would be a bold, brave move to open up a new place...

Good luck I wish you well, and keep peeps informed pls.

Village in Surrey

Dead right for a club for Sussex and Surrey. It's a desert here!

I meet a lot of people at bghs who regularly travel to clubs in Kent or Heathrow area, so clearly there is some demand.

and hamshaws used to be rocking on some nights.

so I'd say it was worth a punt. hope they go for it and do well

We're on the south coast of Hampshire and there's definitely a lack of local clubs. We tend to travel to Abfabs / Kestrels, which is quite a trek.I wish your friends every success.

I believe there is already a club in the gatwick/crawley area called JJBs. Run by a local couple in a converted office block. Not been, but hear from all accounts quite popular. crawley_couple2 used to advertise it, but gone very quiet of recent.

yes we know this guy too, but this place will be very different to that..he travels between here and abroad thats why things have gone quiet there x

It would be great if a club opened in the Gatwick area, bound to be demand for it and we'd certainly be interested

Is someone in Maidenbower getting another hot tub delivered for their weekend parties there?

That was talk of the town there a few moons ago.

I say bring bavk Hamshaws and let the current residents enjoy the facilities at a reduced rate. Might even increase the turn over of the residents there!

There has been three clubs in the area you are discussing, the most succesfull was skinny dippers regularly had thirty plus couples every week just outside Brighton

Another was Liasons held once a month and that was packed out everytime

The only failure was Risques that struggled and closed after about six months

Good luck the area is desperate for a good club

thank you, the big place is currently a 10 bed B and B, so should be plenty of space...think plans are to rent rooms too, to us Lifestyles..(early book ins too..including daytime meets that way), there is certainly a gap in the market in our opinion. It would be completely different to any other club, very upmarket..fingers crossed our friend likes the place, only concern is, it maybe too close to neighbours!

There is most definitely a gap in the the market. I have no doubt that a well run club in our area would prove popular. We have been clubbers for a long time and there has been no decent clubs in this area since skinny shut. So yes I would say go for it.

"only concern is, it maybe too close to neighbours! "

And that he gets planning permission for change of use. The local residents may not be too supportive.

Hi'

like to clear a few things up. There are parties held in the Gatwick/Crawley area I hold them. I am not a club nor do I wish to be. I change venue, and try to keep the costs down. as this is a hobby and not a job. I wish anyone who is going to run a club the best of luck. you are more than welcome to attend any of my events
