Do single girls prefer to visit clubs as a single girl or enjoy the benefits of a chaperone

Exeter

Have played with a few single girls at clubs ( like ABFABS ) and quite a few who were single but were enjoying themselves whilst accompanied by a *friend* for the evening .

Interesting to hear from single girls on this , do you prefer to visit alone or accompanied by a *friend* ??

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

The times I have gone in the past, I like going as a single lady.

No worries over a "chaperone" embarrassing me, or worrying of their expectations, and couples seem really welcoming and chatty to single females, even when no play is on the cards.

I'm a big girl and can look after myself so don't think I need a chaperone in an adult environment.

It's good that YOU can enjoy your fun as a single girl in a club , not sure there are many like you who feel as comfortable .

Seems to me that a single girl accompanied by a *friend* can be a bit more relaxed and not worry too much about unwelcome followers , and enjoy whatever she wants to enjoy with her *friend* as well as swinging with others of her choosing .

Love a good time and love to see a girl enjoy a good time with me , especially at AbFabs .

I prefer to go as a single, I have had a few guys ask me who have clearly only used me to get in as they can't get singles membership or they just want to use me as an offering so they can shag the guys wife

Now days I'm more than happy to arrange to meet up inside but I won't go into clubs with men

I have a club buddy, we travel together share the fuel costs but enter as singletons. Easier that way as we don't play with each other.

I used to have a guy like that too, but if guys are honest about what they want that's different, I don't drive so going to clubs that are not on my door step isn't easy, he used to pick me up and take me home in return for going in as a couple and saving him money, we'd split fuel costs but once in we'd go our own way

Seen loads of single ladies go to clubs on their own it's refreshing to see that it's an increasing trend. Have talked about it between ourselves and both male and female would now be happy to go solo if circumstances ever dictated.

Power to the single ladies!!

You are so wrong. I enjoy clubbing alone. I have met and know many females who also enjoy going alone. My reasons are as the lady has stated above. I am responsible for myself and my own behaviour and not for the behaviour of a chaperone who I certainly do not need. My experience is that it is single men who need the chaperone. Lost count of the number of 'can I take you to a club? offers. When I reply 'I go alone but come and have a chat if you go' they always say they don't go alone because they are nervous.

As for unwelcome followers - I have a voice and ain't afraid to use it.

I often go on my own to my regular club but do put in status where I'm going so accasionally joined by people I know, sometimes I don't know anybody so get nattering and get to know them, daytime and evening parties

Ive tried new places too on my own not being familiar with surroundings can be tricky but I haven't felt uncomfortable anywhere yet so I carry on

Not sure why you assume they would be more relaxed with a tag along single man? I know many women who attend clubs alone including myself. I would hate to have a bloke along cramping my style! As another poster has said the requests I get to accompany men to clubs is because a) they want cheap entrance and b) they are too nervous to go alone

Yup. As Virginie, when I was single, I much preferred clubbing alone. No uncomfortable misunderstandings that the person you're with is the person you're going to get sweaty with. I do still go clubbing without Adam when he is busy, and I'm happy to go with couples I know. I still love to go on my own though and see who I bump into.

Strangely I find myself much more gregarious and outgoing when I'm on my own. And I always feel so safe as clubs do look after you. Oh and of course if I'm not interested.... I'm going to tell you.

I used to go to clubs with a fb every now and then and to be honest, it was like dragging a dead weight behind me.

I like to go to clubs with other women, as in a girls night out, or meet couples in the club after chatting to them on here.

A single girl doesn't have to worry about unwelcome attention, all she has to do is report it to the club staff and it will be dealt with accordingly. If it persists then the person in question will be asked to leave and may be banned

I am confused by your use of the word "friend".

If they were a genuine friend then there would be no issues at all as it would be like a normal night out but with the added benefits of being in a swingers club.

If you are using the word friend to really mean a single guy who actually isn't a friend then it makes no sense at all to me.

I certainly don't need a man to protect me from the world.

I've always gone to clubs as a single guy... I don't get why blokes would be nervous about going or are they going to be too scared to play once they get the guts to enter a club?

one thing I would like is to find a local single lady for club meets, just seems like it would mean driving well out of my way and then being responsible for making sure the lady got home which I have done but it's much nicer if the lady then offers to put in for fuel costs, rather than expect a bloke to pay out to escort a lady to a club, but being used for a free cab service.

So think you have your answer from this thread OP. Plenty of ladies with the balls to go to clubs alone on here and I'm sure there will be plenty more in clubs all over this weekend. Don't think it was really the result that you were looking for, but women are more than happy to go it alone.

And this again! I really don't need a chaperone - but it's nice to go sometimes with someone you know you get on well with and find attractive - that way if there's no-one you find attractive you have a guaranteed playmate. However, i have no problem going to clubs alone or with other women either - and will occasionally be 'mother hen' and take a nervous young guy for the first time - to introduce him to people and show him around! Interesting debate. I'm single, not shy, and have been to clubs by myself. However I always feel a bit like Norman-no-Mates, and despite what people here say, many couples are not that keen on chatting with not particularly attractive older men like me. Consequently I have in the past asked single women to go with me, both on this site and another (AFF). For the vast majority of these women (over two dozen by now) it was their first visit, and (despite what the braver women on here might say) all of them were said they were too nervous to go by themselves. It's always been a completely no strings arrangement, and a number of these women have since become regular clubbers themselves - indeed one met her future husband at Cupids! So for them and for me it's worked well; I can quite honestly say that there's only been one occasion when there was a problem - the woman got very d*unk and then slapped me round the face for "letting" her go into a private room with a black man (it turned out she "didn't like blacks" [her words, not mine]). So it's different strokes for different folks, I think - there's room for many approaches.

I've done it both ways. I do find the evening more entertaining going with somebody, but it's going with the right kind of person that counts. I can tell the ones that want to use a lady as currency and avoid it. I never have a problem chatting at clubs but it's nice to have a wingman, if anyone has got you in a loooooooong conversation for example, knowing someone can come and rescue you without you being rude is good. It's nice to drive home and laugh and giggle about it all, but wouldn't just go with someone for the sake of a free ride if I had no interest in playing with them.

I presume it's the same for ladies and men - there's a range of people who are confident and comfortable enough to go alone, some who like a +1 for guaranteed fun / company / financial reasons, and some who will take friends (as in genuine friends, who they socialise with outside of swinging).

I'm comfortable going alone as there's no expectation and I'm happy socialising with anyone and everyone really

As a single guy I find myself chatting to the club owners a lot when in clubs, normally single girls are to be found in there too, sitting by the bar.

the worst thing about being the single guy in a club is being the quiet wallflower type. you need to strike up some banter if youre ever going to get any chance of playing.. unless you have exceptional looks like a hollywood star, but with no personality, I doubt that just looks alone will help get any action.

I would like a female party friend to share the driving/cost with... but it's very hard to find as most ladies think you will be expecting play if you offer a lift.

I've been literally dragged out of a room mid play by an accompanying "friend" who was pissed of that I was playing and he wasn't (even though hed sent me off with the bloke) and who couldn't enter a couples only room alone as a single male in order to watch a couple playing that he was interested in...that first and last time I went with a chaperone!

Slough Windsor ish

Ive (fem) never had a problem going as a single... although now we are together I dont go as often alone and tend to just go to chill out and socialise when I do.

Ive certainly never experienced troublesome attention from men infact my only offputting experience was several years ago on a couples and females only night where the unwanted attention came from a rather persistant bi female who would not take no thanks for an answer....

As consenting grown ups i dont see why anyone would need a chaperone but of course having 'friends' of either sex there can help break the ice and make the event more sociable and perhaps fun.
