Taxi to Jaydees

Planning a trip to Jaydees and wondering if anyone knows costs of taxis from the local hotels.

Any help appreciated

Why not call and ask for a quote? It's NYE so fares will vary.

Most likely it will be "Steves Taxi" and won't be cheap as it's new years eve, I think it goes double fare

I thought that taxis firms were no longer allowed to charge double fare for such events as NYE and that was scrapped years ago?

Not sure but Steves Taxi firm are a law unto themselves round here, not reliable either and seem to have the taxi monopoly

If your staying at the Premier Inn then I'd hazard a guess between 5 and 7 quid each way then

We do the trip from premier inn to jaydees reguarly - and we usually pay about 14pounds each way!!!! Robbing us blind haha

This what is putting us off going this plus, petrol, hotel, entrance makes for an expensive night

You can say that again, a 15 min trip took 45 mins when we booked them because the idiot driving took us nearly to VA as he got the two mixed up then we went on the scenic route to get there.. Only realised when I mentioned that we were thinking of going to VA the next time we would be down there, he was like " oh shit I'm going to VA not Jaydees, I got mixed up"

you can always ask if Jaydees have any rooms available for the night you want to go. Don't think they charge a lot

Hi sorry we only just saw this forum, by special request if you stayed here we would let you come along earlier for a small amount extra and then you could put your things back in the car for the night. On our website is a number for St Neots Taxi's who does a better deal than Steve's Taxi's and he knows where we are. You would need to book him in advance as he is a one man band. our rooms are play rooms so that is why we don't charge a lot for the night.
