Open for debate:

Do you go to clubs to play or socialise, some of our more resent experiances would suggest the latter.

We go with the expectation that we are there to socialise with like minded people. If we were to be lucky enough to play while we are there then that's a bonus.

Paying an entry fee to a club does not automatically entitle you to expect to play.

We go to play, if there's no physical attraction with anyone (which is extremely rare) then we'll socialise and play together

We pretty much always play - however never go thinking we will. We don't arrange meets anymore, prefer the spontaneous spark you get.

That being said if there is no spark we'll just have fun in a public room and enjoy that.

I think it would ruin it for us going with the expectation of play Everytime. It's pressure we don't see the point of. Swinging is our time to kick back and relax, not be running around the club at 2am trying to get a shag as time is running out.

However OP you said most in your opinion seem to be going to socialise - do you see it as a good thing or not? Or do you mean that some go with no intention at all of playing?

We attend socials for the chatting and relaxation. If we meet and click then we play. If not ,then we play together.

We not out looking for sex but if it happens then its a bonus to a great evening.

Essex, near basildon

We tend to go with an open mind, like the thought of playing if we click but not disappointed if we don't

I go to a club with the intention to play and socialise. So far I've been lucky and had both at every visit, tho if I only had one I'd still be happy.

I go with the intentions to see who's there, if I meet someone i like i play if he wants to too if not I just chat to people, I would sooner not play than shag someone for the sake of it

i play with people i socialise with.... does that answer the question....

for me the socialising is more important.. I don't play with people i don't speak to... that just brings it down to the level of "fresh meat" for me personally.....

This is pretty much us as well. Though it is extra nice when we find that 'click' lol

Us too. If we wanted just to socialise we'd go to a pub.

We don't expect to play with other people, it's a bonus if we do. But we do watch and wander around and fuck each other.

I don't always play at clubs by any means - but I always have a great night whether I play or not as I'm a very social animal. If I happen to find someone I like to have great sex with too - then marvelous!! Xx

I've gone through various phases with regards to this. At the moment I only go to shag, not to socialise.

Hi Angie. As you know I, like many others, enjoy mixing with like minded people and, especially in clubs, the socialising forms an essential part of the experience. Unlike many other places, in swinger clubs you can usually enjoy some pleasant conversation with almost anyone else without either party being judgemental. In most cases, as evenings progress, some people will play but that all depends on who is there and what they want to do. Successful clubs seem to have visitors who are able to balance both the socialising and play that results in a good experience and a return visit.

I go to play - socialising is an extra, but first and foremost I go to play If I wanted to socialise and just *possibly* *maybe* play I could go to a vanilla club and possibly pull someone there. I go to a swing club to swing
