Should all make an effort if it's dress down or not, be male or female, it's about standards and respect of yourself,

I always make an effort, even in a dressdown on entry club, you never know who youll meet as your going into the club. You never get a second chance to make a good first impression

As an aside, I'd really love to go to a swinging club that allowed trainers and jeans - for both men and women.

That's how I'm comfortable and I like men and women who wear those clothes.

Absolutely. If they can't make an effort to look half presentable... What is going on underneath the clothes? A guy sat near us in Chams one day in his towel and to his credit he raised his glass and said cheers...... But the fingernails ....,,, OMG.

Go to the PHUKT night at Xtasia.

It's clubbing wear friendly, so you can wear trainers, jeans, T's etc.

Lets turn this..

Some clubs require you to dress down. If he was in a towel or boxers, what would have made him any different from others to not get "action".

Sometimes it's the person you are, not what your wear (or dont) that can get you mixing it up with others.

Me too! I`ve been to Chams and even when staying in one of their rooms, got changed into my nice clothes just for the very short walk from the room to the club!

As has already been said, there`s jeans and there`s smart denim and whole difference between them. I remember when Levis were dearer than good quality trousers but they were still "jeans"!

Totally it's horses for courses besides ones dress albeit can be a differentiator is a shallow way to look at the overall package. I know of fems who wear just leggings and a jumper to meets.

Won't catch this guy in a suit. No siree fuckin' bob. Hate suits. Feel uncomfortable in them and they're just not 'me'. Nothing worse than seeing someone in something and you know they don't want to be in it. That to me is more off putting than someone dressed casual with confidence.

I'll wear jeans n boots, jeans n trainers, shirts, t shirts, whatever.

As long as it clean 'n' smartish Im happy.

Strange why go to a club dressed like that, it costs a small fortune to get in as a single so why not make an effort to look nice to maybe attract someone to meet with you. Oh well his major loss there then.

Been to clubs where people have obviously made no effort at all, be it smart or casual. And that goes for men and women.

It's not just men that don't make an effort, when at a club we once saw a lady in leggings a top and a big wooly cardigan, to us that's not an effort but others may feel differently, it was obviously what she was comfortable in and I suppose that's all that really matters

Because people have different ideas of what looks 'nice'? And if they dress up and pretend to be something they're not, they might not attract the kinds of people that they want.

Wonder if he has a profile here....with similar effort...and 57 posts about his lack of success because "the site is crap"?

Perfectly get most of the reasoning above.

It's not too difficult to shower, freshen up and be presentable.

But for me (apart from the hygiene / cleanliness side)

That is why I prefer dress down club's.

Then I am judging the person on their merits not making assumptions just on how they are dressed.

Any individual had their own reasons why they are dressed as they are.

Dressing down is a great leveller and for me, when I am naked chatting away in the sauna or Jacuzzi.. It's all about that social interaction.

I am not going to think...

She walked in wearing that outfit, better not talk to her / them.

But maybe it's just me being old fashioned.

Don't get me wrong though...

Not making an effort cleanliness wise, is a different matter all together.
