How sad is that! I have been several times and it was always a great event. Good opportunity to meet up socially and see new stuff. Anyone know why?

Have a read of this, after going to last years we don't feel we are missing out on much...(in our opinion)

If you just type Erotica into the forum search box there's a few threads relating to Erotica 2014, hope this helps.

main reason was the performance licence

did not allow Nudity

a problem most venues are having at the moment

its affecting fetish clubs with alcohol licences as well

Add to that the lack of traders who refuse to pay the exhorbitant fees and high entrance fees = less punters so have now probably priced themselves out of the game

Licence problems were, I understand, one reason why it moved from Olympia. I remember when both floors at Olympia were full. Speaking to a trader at the last but one Olympia show, they were being charged £100 a day for a credit card reader service!

Yes what a shame. I have been a couple of times when it was at Olympia and it was good.

Would be nice to have a big gathering of all us perverts from across the spectrum. Did think it was a tad commercial but then again so what.

Rochester

I went to quite a few over the years and they were slowly going down hill, but it was the recession hitting them and also reduced the range of vendors, which really put the writing on the wall,.

That and the ease of internet shopping / mail order, ment less was spent on the day anyway.

I think its time has passed for now and its smaller venues with niche specialisations and more dedicated followings that will prosper.

RIP Erotica
