Birkenhead/Liverpool

Some clubs have an under 35 night. We did but after 6 months of trying this on a Friday night, it was poorly supported so we stopped it. This is because a lot of our younger members prefer a Saturday night and come along regardless of age range.

A club cannot tell you in advance who will walk through the door as most of us do not take bookings. We open our doors and wait to see who walks in. Swinging is not restricted to young people and I am sure that when you are in your 50's you would still like to walk into a club without feeling unwanted by the younger crowd. The swinging scene attracts people from 18-80 and the average age of swingers is about 28-55...a very broad range.

If you don't want to go to a club where older members attend, then maybe you should arrange your own party or approach a club to see if they will let you host an under 35's night?

Other than the OLD F Club which was in London, no club provide a strictly under 35's age nights.

So you will be looking at mixing it in with the older generation per se.

Unfortunately many clubs do not really cater for the younger generation as they have to cater for the majority of their clientele, which is usually 40+

Younger people will tend to go out to normal clubs and bars (and get in for free - rather than pay swing club prices) as the clubs dont provide what they want from the evening. We always have this dilemma - do we go out to normal clubs and bars and have a good night, or do we risk going to a swing club, where we could have a poor night.

Perhaps in 20 years time, we'll find it easier

So what are you looking for?

Is it just age that is an issue? Or are there not other factors that you have preferences for, such as body style, attitude, sexuality etc.

I chatted once to a couple who'd said similar things to you. On closer inspection what they actually wanted was a club not just full of under 35's, but actually a club full of 'attractive' (in their opinion) under 35's!

Short of opening your own club and choosing your guests based on your own tastes (and of course hoping they'd come!) - there's bugger all you can do.

Clubs are a mix of ages, body types and people of all sexualities.

If you want a room full of folk who fit a rigid criteria you'll have to arrange something yourself.

Or better yet - just go to a club and interact with those you take a fancy to.

Nowt wrong with being 35, you'll be there one day

Seriously though, clubs have no idea who will come through the doors. Some days will be busy, others will be quiet. Some days will have a young crowd, others older.

Maybe approach your local club and arrange to host your own under 35's events there, you'll enjoy the evening and maybe help get more younger people interested clubs

we understand about the mixed age range at clubs but feel the ones we have looked at the majority are on the higer end of the scale and dont suit us so think we'd be rejecting most people which puts a damper on things and not saying we gods gift we expect rejection against us but would at least like a good selection as opposed to choosing the only couple there not old enough to be our grand parents.Like the idea of hosting a night so will look into that cheers for all the replies and agian nothing against anyone as its more of a connection thing than looks but thats just us thanks again.

How do you know someone's age in a club? Nobody I've ever seen wears a badge?

Can you really say you can tell if someone is 32 or 36?

Unless your the most popular and having lots of willing younger types to join you, don't waste your time trying to host your own, many have tried, many have failed, (including us over the years) to arrange events/parties etc.

Far too many fakes, flakes and timewasters out there.. not enough who walk the walk and turn up to an arranged event you put up money for.

Or you could message all the under 35s within a 30 mile radius, and try to get together for a 'social' in your local club, and let things take their course when you're all together.

Everyone has age preferences, no need to apologise or justify yours. Perhaps look for people on here and meet them at a club. There's no way of knowing who will be at a club. Or maybe look for a party for your age group. Bound to be some out there. Good luck.

You may be surprised!!

I 'connect' pretty well with Fox - and I'd fall foul of your age range whilst she wouldn't!

The organisers of Phukt - one of the busiest club nights attended by the under 35 crowd would too!

I'm not saying you should change your preferences - but just that you may be surprised at some of the 35+ crowd at clubs!

"Killing kittens."

Ah - but don't forget - age is only one of the 'hoops' you have to jump through to attend KK!

What if the 'selection panel' don't approve your application for lack of attractiveness!

Thanks Obi for mentioning our event , it could well be something suited to to the OP, our average age range is 25 - 45 and is a rave style event

There is definitely a younger crowd coming through in the lifestyle which we think should be encouraged

Just depends on the people you find and the people you are.

We find it easier to get on with others older than us, we have a number of friends in the lifestyle around 60 and under. However attraction to play is generally for those around our own ages.

Generally we find older women are far more sexy and attractive than older men - but it's an individuals preference, and others should respect that.
