Hi,

Anyone know the plan for Kestrels over xmas? Will it be closing for many days or just xmas day?

Sunday 21st is looking like a good day for me to visit, and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyone doing their last minute xmas shopping or preparations! Does anyone remember if it tends to be quieter around this time though as people have other stuff going on, or does it get busy as people like me want to get away from it all for the day?

The only thing that is predictable about winter days at Kestrels is that they are unpredictable in terms of numbers and activities. There could be half a dozen people there who all end up playing together or 30 people and nothing happening.

According to the web site they are only closed on Christmas Day so I would surmise that you should be able to get a lovely day of "relaxation" on the 21st.

Been a few times recently and although it has been quiet on Friday afternoons it still hasn't prevented a beautiful time.

Yeah I thought it would be open most days, just wondered if in previous years it is a quiet time? I went to Eurekas just after xmas a couple of years ago and it was quieter than usual, but got my eye on sunday 21st so who knows, that's before xmas and might be busier if everyone has finished their xmas shopping!

with a few dashes into the sauna to warm up, much giggling and wine to warm the cockles
