Safe Word

Do any couples when visiting clubs have safe words in place so if they're not sure of something they can move away and re-group etc.?

Not a safe word as such. We keep eye contact and know when the other isn't enjoying it.

Just use the traffic light system at all times - you say yellow then things are moving outside your comfort zone, you say red its time to stop.

You don't bother with green, obviously

The drink thing is confusing. Traffic lights = simple and effective. Also very good in harder BDSM sessions as there's no 'no' involved

I use the traffic lights in a one to one situation, so to know they are comfy with whatever is occurring.

Surely any words would work as long as they are agreed in advance.

Presumably we are talking couples here, a single with a safe word doesn't really work does it?!!

Most couples I would have thought are in tune enough to be able to gauge when their partner is not comfortable in a situation.

However, ultimately surely we are all responsible for ourselves, if one is not comfortable in any swinging situation voicing that should be enough to stop play.

Fair point, and consent is the bottom line always so it should always be as simple as saying "stop" to whoever is involved and that's the end of it.
